VI. Course Description:

Physical Education 2 is two unit course which is designed to promote life-long leisure
activities by exposing students to a variety of team and individual sports such as:
Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball and etc. There is an emphasis on skill development,
social teamwork and fitness evaluations that will empower students the knowledge and
understanding for various life- long activities .Students will demonstrate the ability to
perform basic and advanced skills and tactics to participate in various sporting activities.
Students will examine the role of the leader and the responsibility which comes with
becoming a leader. Topics such as personal management, relationship management
and conflict management will be covered.

of Industrial Technology for professional work and life-long

XII. Course Requirements

A. Major Examinations
Students enrolled in the course must take and pass the midterm and final exams.
A removal exam shall only be administered after calculating the total points of the
student.

B. Mini Project
Students enrolled in the course are required to do a mini project applying the
methods and algorithms used for classification. A well-written report must be
submitted including results and graphs. The said project must be presented before
the class.

XIV. Class Policies

1. Strict monitoring of attendance will be implemented by the instructor due to


exercises/games that will be given every class session. As according to the student
handbook, 20% (or an equivalent of 6 days) absences of the whole duration of the
class session per semester is automatic drop while 15 minutes tardiness will be
marked absent, and 3 late is equivalent to 1 absent. Excuse letter will be accepted
if it has valid/legal basis.
2. Strict implementation of proper student decorum will be monitored by the faculty as
accorded in the NSU student handbook. Wearing complete school uniform is a
must from Monday to Thursday while Friday is wash day. For male students, proper
haircut is imposed and that wearing of earrings is not allowed.
3. Gadgets/devices must be silent off or better yet be turn off to avoid class disturbance.
No student is allowed to used mobile phones or tablets inside the classroom except
for academic referencing. If needed, the student can inform the teacher and can go
out to answer phone call.

4. Before and after class start, student must maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the
classroom. Electric fan/Air-condition and lights must be turn off, while, writings on
the board must be erased.
5. For examination, strict implementation of “No official receipt, no exam policy” and
proper decorum will be monitored. This policy maybe subject for changes if
personal matters/legal matters/cultural matters will be in conflict that may impede
the motivation of the student to perform the academic requirements as evaluated by
faculty handling the subject.
6. Strict implementation of “Deadline is deadline” will be secure by the faculty. Non-
compliance will be deducted to the final score of the students.
7. Additional classroom policies will be identified and will be announced by the instructor
as deem to be important for classroom management and smoothen the student
academic performance.
