Heartiest congratulations! You are one of our superb students in The University of Arizona College
of Nursing who have earned special recognition for superior academic achievement during the
2016-2017 academic year. You will be honored during the College of Nursing Family Weekend
Open House on Friday, October 13, 2017, starting at 3:00 p.m. in College of Nursing, Room
117. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to join you in celebration of your
accomplishments.

Academic Distinction is granted to students who have completed at least 30 credits during the
previous year (Fall 2016 and Spring 2017) and maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average.
You are to be commended for your achievement and will receive a certificate of Academic
Distinction.

A short presentation will take place in the College of Nursing at 3:00 p.m. We urge you to attend
this event so that we can publicly celebrate your accomplishments. All University classes are
cancelled from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on October 14th to allow for your participation. Refreshments
and opportunities for your family and friends to tour the Steele Innovative Learning Center will
follow.
