Bárbara de Souza

Bárbara de Souza, bachelor in viola by the São

Paulo State University, started her viola studies
with 8 years old.
With an extensive orchestral experiencie, she
has performed in tours in France, Netherlands
and USA with the Youth Orchestra of São Paulo
State, with which she also has recorded 2 CDs
and had the chance to play with great soloists,
like Jennifer Stum and Antonio Meneses.
She participated in several masterclasses and summer courses, like Campos do
Jordão International Festival, in Brazil, and twice the Mendelssohn International
Festival, in Germany, being taught by Nobuko Imai, Bruno Giuranna, Lawrence
Power and Jennifer Stum.
In chamber music, she developed a regular work with Trio Lieben (clarinet trio).
She is very interested in music education, being a music teacher since 2012.
Currently, she is studying in Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
