Type a 4-6 sentence using your RAISED model of writing to
describe your answer choice. A reminder is posted below.
This assignment is different because you are to post it in the
comments section below the prompt.
After a specified time has passed, you are to read over all of the
other student responses. You must pick one person you agree
with and one person you disagree with. You are to respond to
both students with 3-5 sentences about why you agree or
disagree. Respect is shown to ALL students regardless of their
writing ability or answer choice. When you agree you should be
VERY specific as to why you agree. The same thing with the
person you disagree with. You must correct and explain your
position using facts not opinions.

Restate the question you wish to prove.

Answer the question.
Introduce the quote
Support with the quote
Explain the quote.
Done! Conclude with a meaningful ending that does not repeat
your claim.

The mass of the warm balloon is less than the mass of the cold balloon because the cold balloon was in the
freezer for a whole 30 minutes and the warm balloon was not so the cold balloon is more dense.

I don't agree with you. I'm saying this because the warm balloon was less dense than the colder balloon.
Once the balloon met the freezer the density should've started to increase causing the balloon to either
shrink on not be able to float. That's why I disagree.

there is a gas in the balloon. When something is near a cold are it will shrink and the particles will slow down

I think the mass in the warm balloon is the same as the frozen balloon.I think it is the same because in the
warm balloon it is gas which means that there is particles that are moving in the balloon and not staying
still. In the frozen balloon there are particles that are not moving they are just staying still.Whenever an object
is close to a cold area it starts to shrink but has the same mass.Whenever an object is close to a warm area
it expands.

that because the warm air rise because its less dense. Also if you expose it to the cold the molecules move
slower and slower and has less movement and becomes weaker. Therefor the balloon got smaller in the

The mass of the warm balloon is greater the the cold balloon what happened to the mass? The mass
escaped from the balloon faster when it was placed in the freezer then it would be if it was placer in a room
temperature room. This is because the heat in the balloon was placed in a cold area so the heat loss went
down significantly quicker. That is why the mass in the balloon had dropped so the balloon had shrunk.

I think A is correct because the warm balloon has less mass than the cold balloon. The warm balloon is less
dense, so I think that the air would try to escape from it but can't keeping the balloon in it's form it is now. But
when the cold air got to the balloon, it got less dense so it shrunk it also has to do with convection. When
anything is heated its density decreases so that's why I think A is correct.

I believe that the mass of the cold balloon is the same as the mass of the warm balloon. The reason behind
my thinking is that when things get colder the kinetic energy decreases. Which then causes the atoms to
take up less space so the material contracts. Also when the warm air cooled it condensed.
