management and how they relate to
success in the field.
March 12, 2018 4 During the response phase of
emergency management, volunteers
come from all over to help. This
course showed me how to properly
manage and use the volunteers that
come to help.
November 3, 2018 4 This course gave me an overview of
the National Incident Management
System, which I was not very familiar
with, so it was very beneficial.
November 3, 2018 3 This course taught me how and
when the national response
framework is used. 1
June 12, 13, & 14, 2018 16 This three day camp gave me the
opportunity to teach high school
students the basics of CERT and to
better understand the CERT training
myself to help teach more students
in the future.
16 This conference was my first big
introduction in emergency
management. I learned so much on
every level of emergency
management. It was a great overall
experience and I hope to attend
more in the future.

HeartCode BLS May 4, 2018 4 In this class refreshed my basic life
support skills.
Internship Washington County August 20-Current 478 During my internship, I updated
emergency operations plans that are
Department of Emergency used for all county and local
Management & Homeland governments in our area, these are
Security used during special events or
disasters. I did a mapping project
that will be used also during
disasters. In this project, I mapped
special locations, such as: churches,
cemeteries, shelters, schools,
daycares, grocery stores and gas
stations. I assisted with three
budgets and calculated turnback. I
also had the privilege of heading the
local emergency planning
commission which is attended by
county and city officials, local school
officials and industry professionals.
