Perkins 4000 Series Technical Training Assessment

This assessment is designed to enable technical personnel to obtain


recognition for distance product training. Reference to the training CD and the
appropriate workshop manual may be required to complete the
following multiple-choice questions.

1. What is the first sequential check to be carried out after fitting the unit
injectors?

A: Position and lock the governor linkage at 10% open and


check the ‘No Fuel’ setting.
B: Use a DTI to measure the unit pump plunger travel.

2. What is the purpose of setting the timing / datum pins of the unit injectors?
