Echoes of Genius and Spirit in the Age of Speed

The work of Alexander Grimmus investigates a new

reconciliation between the mythical and magickal
past and the unexplored, yet full of promises, future.

he artist lives in an abstract generative nebula

aglow with dreamweavers whose hearts are
nurtured by non-locality and by an
atemporal, immortal mindset. The inkscapes flow
between dream vision and hyper-reality. Eternal
loops, fractally divided time-spaces, non-linear
narratives and allegorical images and patterns
populate the meditative environment of both his
visual artworks and his literature.

The mind expands, with every intake of the forms,

colours and ideas, into some sort of artificial
intelligence capable of deciphering subtle nuances
and sub-forms of the under-space. Deep journeys
into the Dreaming shower you with harsh contrasts
between fundamental archetypes and extrinsic,
convoluted anarchetypes.

In the synaptic reality of Alexander Grimmus, art

objects are resurrections of Beauty itself, living in an empire of lost or rejected values. Parallaxes,
mirrors, vibrations, resonance cascades and Delphic ejaculations are shockwave engines meant to
recreate horizons and to break comfort zones.

A matrix of illusion and disillusion, though confusing, exerts a strange attracting force, so that the
mind of the observer is incorrigibly seduced and starts to spontaneously feed on it. This gives them the
ability to imagine an unfolding of what could be: eternal Life force as a manifestation of the
unthinkable self. Everything is connected, has happened and will happen again.

We are witnessing, therefore, the birth of a myth, or better said, of an entire personal mythology. For
example, there are god-kings of the four cardinal points, androgyne winged creatures of the Zodiac,
gods of sunset-Death and of sunrise-Resurrection, goddesses of birth and growth and fairies of colours;
the Pineapple is the king of fruits and the Pomegranate is the queen. But above that we have the myth
of Grimmus himself, with a plethora of avatars: the bard, the priest, the magician, the shaman, the
shapeshifter, the king, the warrior, the architect, the god, the dreamer, the immortal and many more.

Only a prophet of the cosmos can bring about such a quantum shift of Life’s purpose. How should we
navigate his pranic nexus, this entirety of experience? We are only left with more questions.
