Artifact #2: Weebly Teacher Website.

Why did you include this artifact?

My Weebly Teacher Website demonstrates how highly I value technology integration

and communication between the teacher, students, and their families. My personalized Voki

character welcoming students and families to my website immediately builds a welcoming, sage

and positive classroom community. My website is to provide student and their parents/guardians

with useful resources, the appropriate education and lessons, up-to-date Google calendar to hold

students accountable and keep parents/guardians informed of important projects and events.

How does this artifact show evidence that you are prepared for a career in education?

I created a screen-o-cast science lesson video for students to engage in a flipped

classroom experience to demonstrate my dedication to the students’ academic success. By

providing such a vast amount of readily and accessible information to the students and their

parents, I want my commitment to students learning in and away from the classroom to be

clear. I created a Padlet asking parents/guardians to share information on how their student best

learns so I’m able to adjust and accommodate my instructional practices to suit each students

needs. I believe my website showcases how I will effectively develop and maintain developing

and maintain open communication with parents/guardians about classroom learning and

activities; keep parents/guardian involved, and allow them to be supportive participant in the

child's academic journey.
