I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Forrest Pitt. Forrest student

taught my World History class at Highland High School for the first semester of the 2018-2019

academic year. I had the opportunity of working with Forrest on a daily basis reviewing lesson

plans and watching him teach. In that time, I was able to get to know Forrest as a teacher.

Forrest is the best student teacher I have ever had. He immediately connected with the

students and his transition from observer to student teacher was seamless. His activities were

well thought out and engaged all of the students in the classes he taught. Forrest’s attention to

each individual student was clear as you observed him interacting with the students. It was

clearly evident that the students liked and learned from Forrest as he spent time as their

student teacher. Many were disappointed to see him end his student teaching. In a short time,

he had developed a strong relationship with his students, a trait that really set him apart from

the other student teachers I have had.

Forrest is clearly classroom ready. He will do a fine job in the classroom or with

whatever task he has before him. He will be exceptional at whatever he does.
