Basic of Construction Processes
I-LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
- Identify the constructive stitches and seams commonly used in clothing
construction.
- Discuss the different parts of clothing and how to construct them.
- Evaluate the importance of learning basic construction processes.
- Perform the different kind of hand stitching used in clothing construction

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES:
1. Prayer
2. Energizer
3. Greetings
4. Checking of Attendance
5. Review of the Previous Lesson
6. Motivation (wild guess)

B. LESSON PROPER:
- PRESENTATION OF THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES

ACTIVITY:
First Activity: (Name that Picture)
- The class will be divided into 2 groups
- Each group is task to identify the constructive stitches and seams
commonly used in clothing construction by putting a label on the shown
pictures.
 Second Activity: (Group Discussion)

- The class will be divided into 6 groups.

- Each group will be given a handout with their assigned topics.
- Their task is to discuss their assigned topic with their group within 5
minutes.
- After the group discussion, the teacher will pick 2 members randomly to
present their assigned topic in front.

ABSTRACTION
(Interactive Discussion)
Essential Question:
1. What have you learned about the topic?
2. What is the importance of knowing learning basic construction
processes in clothing?

APPLICATION
- the class will be divided into 6 groups,
- Each member of the group will make at least one kind of hand stitch and
they all have 5 minutes to make.
- When all members are already done, they will present it in front.

ASSESSMENT (Short quiz)

Direction: In a ¼ sheet of paper answer the following questions honestly. You have 5 minutes
to answer.

1-2. give two kinds of hand stitches used in clothing

3-5. give at least 3 finishes seams used in clothing
6-10. Discuss the importance of knowing the basic construction processes.
