ABOUT THE COLLEGE
ENGINEERING PRACTICE LAB
Ramco Institute of Technology was founded by its
Founder Chairman Shri P.R.Ramasubrahmaneya
Rajha in the year 2013 with a vision to impart high
quality engineering education. Following his footsteps,
our current Chairman Shri. P.R.Venkatarama Raja
has revolutionized the learning environment by encour-
aging Faculty and students to pursue online courses
from prominent foreign universities. His motivation
has resulted in carrying out inter-disciplinary projects
with a view of creating Innovation Hub and Research
Laboratories in tie-up with Multinational Corporates.
The college emulates IIT system of education thereby
ensuring high quality teaching by well-experienced
faculty who are facilitated with Smart classrooms, Re-
search Laboratories, E-learning Modules etc. The col-
lege is situated at the foothills of Western Ghats, 5 Km
from Rajapalayam.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was estab-
lished in the year 2013. The department is having an
excellent teaching-learning environment with modern
state-of-the-art facilities and well-experienced faculty
members with expertise over a wide range of speciali-
zations. At present, it offers B.E. in Mechanical Engi-
neering with a sanctioned intake of 120 students. The
Department has RIT-Harita Advanced Learning Centre
for CATIA® and Nx CAD® softwares. The vision of
the department is “To be recognized nationally for its
quality education, research and extension programmes
in Mechanical Engineering.”
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE:
The main objective of this workshop is to enhance
the skills of lab technicians in the areas of Machining,
Joining and also CMM machine.
It is established over an area of 226Sq.m. and provides

er Machine, Universal Milling Machine, Vertical Mill-
ing Machine, Gear Hobbing Machine, Cylindrical
