2.2 Bodenregelung / Ground Rule
Als ’Boden’ gilt lediglich der Spielfeldboden

2.3 Der Ball / The Ball
Der verwendete Ball sollte ein Softball/
Schaumstoffball mit einem Nenndurchmes-
ser von ca. 180 mm sein, welcher eine dicke
Gummierung als Außenhaut (sog. Elefanten-
haut) besitzt. Das Gewicht des Balles sollte
aus Sicherheitsgründen zwischen ca. 130 g
und 150 g liegen.
Leder-, Vollgummi-, Volley- oder Fußbälle
sollten nicht verwendet werden, da sonst er-
höhte Verletzungsgefahr für Hände und Ge-
sichter der Spieler besteht.
3 Die Mannschaften / The Teams
3.1 Mannschaftsgröße / Team Size
Eine Mannschaft muss aus sechs bis neun
Spielern zuzüglich eines Königs bestehen
und muss einen Teamkapitän benennen. Kö-
nig und Teamkapitän müssen nicht identisch
sein.
Zu Beginn eines Spieles verständigen sich die
Mannschaften darüber, wie viele Spieler sich
auf dem Spielfeld befinden dürfen, sofern ei-
ner Mannschaft mehr Spieler zur Verfügung
stehen. Alternativ kann, bei Einverständnis
beider Mannschaften, der König des Teams,

The ground of the field, the benches separa-

This rule is called the 3-B rule, referring to

The ball used should be a soft ball / foam ball

3.2 Der König / The King
Der König kann bei jedem Spiel neu be-
stimmt werden und hat zu Beginn eines je-
den Spieles drei Leben, es sei denn die Re-

Anspruch genommen. Während eines Spieles
darf der König nicht ausgewechselt werden, es
sei denn er scheidet verletzungsbedingt aus.
3.3 Der Teamkapitän / The Team Captain
Der Kapitän des Teams fungiert als Sprecher
der Mannschaft und hat die Aufgabe, Unklar-
heiten und Einsprüche an den Schiedsrichter
weiterzugeben und diese mit ihm zu klären.
Sollte der Kapitän durch wie auch immer ge-
artete Gründe ausscheiden, muss die Mann-
schaft einen Ersatzkapitän benennen.
3.4 Hilfsmittel / Equipment
Jegliche Hilfsmittel, die einem Spieler oder
der Mannschaft einen Vorteil verschaffen,
sind nicht erlaubt. Maßnahmen, die der Ge-
sundheit des Spielers dienen, wie beispiels-
weise Tape, Pflaster oder Bandagen, sind da-
von ausgenommen.
3.5 Verletzungen und Spieleraustausch / Injuries and Player Exchange
Scheidet ein Spieler durch Verletzung aus,
kann er von einem Auswechselspieler, sofern
vorhanden, ersetzt werden. Ist kein Auswech-
selspieler vorhanden, so wird die Spielerzahl
des gegnerischen Teams entsprechend ver-
mindert. Der dabei abzuziehende Spieler wird
in diesem Fall vom entsprechenden Team
selbst bestimmt. Ein fliegender Wechsel von
Spielern während des Spieles ist nicht vor-
gesehen. Sollten beide Mannschaften damit

4 Der Spielablauf / Process of the Game
4.1 Der Spielbeginn / Start of the Game
Das Spiel beginnt mit dem Einwerfen des Bal-
les an der Mittellinie durch den Schiedsrich-
ter. Die Mannschaft, welche den Ball erlangt,
darf den ersten Abwurfversuch unternehmen.
Sollte mit zwei Bällen gespielt werden, be-
kommt jede Mannschaft einen Ball, welcher
zu Spielbeginn zum jeweils eigenen König ge-
worfen wird. Der Ball darf dabei nicht abge-
fangen werden. Andernfalls wird der Wurf so-
lange wiederholt, bis beide Bälle beim jeweili-
gen König angelangt sind. Die Könige dürfen
den ersten Abwurfversuch unternehmen.
4.2 Das Spiel / The Game
Ziel der jeweiligen Mannschaft ist es die Spie-
ler der gegnerischen Mannschaft durch Ab-
wurf, vgl. Abschnitt 5, vom Mannschafts-
feld zu nehmen. Abgeworfene Spieler dürfen
vom Außenfeld aus gegnerische Spieler ab-
werfen, um sich so wieder ins Spiel zu brin-
gen. Sind alle Spieler einer Mannschaft abge-
worfen, betritt der entsprechende König das
Spielfeld und bekommt ausschließlich beim
ersten Mal alle im Spiel befindlichen Bälle.
Während des ersten Einwechselns des Königs
wird das Spiel vom Schiedsrichter unterbro-
chen. In dieser Zeit getätigte Abwürfe sind
ungültig.
Darf ein Spieler des Außenfeldes durch Ab-

The game begins by the throwing of the
ball at the center line by the referee. The
team that achieves the ball may take the first
throw-off attempt.
If there are two balls in the game, each team
gets one ball, which is thrown to each own
king at the beginning of the game. The ball
should not be intercepted. Otherwise, the
throw is repeated until both balls have re-
ached the respective kings. The kings are al-
lowed to take the first throw-off attempt.
The aim of each team is to take the players of
the opposing team off the team field by thro-
wing off, see section 5. Players from the out-
field may throw off opposing players to bring
themself back into play. Are all the players
of a team thrown off, the corresponding king
enters the playing field. If he enters the play-
ing field for the first time th king gets all the
balls in the game. During the first substitu-
tion of the king the match is interrupted by
the referee. Throws made during this time are
invalid.
If a player of the outfield is allowed to enter
the team field again by throwing off an oppo-
sing team field player, see 5, the king leaves

5 Abwurf und Feldbereichswechsel / Throwing off and
Field Change
5.1 Abwurfort und Abwurfziel / Throwing Location and Target of
Throws
Das Abwerfen eines Spielers darf nur aus
dem eigenen Spielfeldbereich (Mannschafts-
feldspieler vom Mannschaftsfeld aus, Außen-
feldspieler vom Außenfeld aus) geschehen.
Es dürfen alle Mannschaftsfeldspieler, ob-
gleich sie sich im Mannschaftsfeld befinden
oder dieses durch Übertreten der Feldlinien
verlassen haben, abgeworfen werden.
5.2 Gültiger Abwurf / Valid Throw-off
Ein gültiger Abwurf liegt vor, wenn ein Spie-
ler einen Abwurf auf einen gegnerischen Spie-
ler unternimmt, diesen direkt oder indirekt
trifft (Ausnahmen vgl. Abschnitt 5.4) und
der Ball anschließend, entsprechend der 3-B-
Regel, erstmalig den Boden, die Bank/Bänke
an der Mittellinie oder gegebenenfalls einen
anderen Ball berührt.
Sollte der Abwurf von einem Spieler des
Außenfeldes durchgeführt worden sein, so
darf der entsprechende Spieler in das Mann-
schaftsfeld wechseln. Ist der werfende Spieler
der König selbst und ist dieser zum Zeit-
punkt des Abwurfs im Außenfeld, muss die-

5.3 Abwurf mehrerer Spieler / Throwing-off multiple Players
Sollte ein Abwurf mehrere gültige Treffer zur

in das Außenfeld. Bei einem Mehrfachabwurf
aus dem Außenfeld, wechselt jedoch nur ein
Spieler in das Mannschaftsfeld.
5.4 Kopf- und Zopftreffer / Headshots and hitting Braids
Sollte ein Spieler am Kopf getroffen werden,
so gilt dies als Treffer. Bewusste Würfe ins
Gesicht, an den Kopf oder in empfindliche
Körperregionen anderer Spieler ist zu vermei-
den. Sollte der Verdacht des Vorsatzes beste-
hen, wird dies entsprechend vom Schiedsrich-
ter geahndet, vgl. Abschnitt 8.
Treffer von (zusammengebunden) Haaren
(Zöpfen) und weiten Kleidungsstücken sind
nicht gültig.
5.5 Rettungsklausel / Rescue Clause
Als gerettet gilt ein Ball, wenn er nach dem
Treffen eines Spielers (zum Abwurf) vor
Boden-, Bank- oder Ballkontakt von einem
beliebigen Spieler gefangen wird. Ein an-
schließend bewusstes Fallenlassen des Balles
wird nicht als Bodenkontakt gewertet.
Als gefangen gilt ein Ball, wenn der Fangende
diesen offensichtlich sicher im Griff hat.
Spieler, welche sich im Außenfeld befinden,
dürfen einen Ball retten, sofern sie mit min-
destens einem Körperteil das Außenfeld be-
rühren. Ein Hineinlaufen oder -springen in
andere Feldbereiche außer dem eigenen ist
nicht gestattet. Für Mannschaftsfeldspieler
gilt dies nicht. Diese dürfen zur Rettung des
Balls ihr eigenes Feld frei verlassen (’In das

ched by any player after a player’s hit (to be

tional dropping of the ball is not considered
ground contact.
A ball is considered to be caught if the cat-
ching player obviously has a grip on it.
Players who are in the outfield may save a
ball if they touch the outfield with at least
one body part while catching. It is not allo-
wed to run or jump into other areas of the
field except your own. This does not apply
for team fielders (’Getting into the realm of
the dead is easy. Leaving it is not!’).

5.6 Linienübertritt / Crossing Lines
Ein Linienübertritt liegt vor, sobald ein
Mannschaftsfeldspieler die Mittel-, Seiten-
oder Grundlinie übertritt oder ein Außen-
feldspieler entsprechende Linien betritt oder
übertritt. Folglich gilt dies auch bei einem
Feldbereichswechsel - unabhängig davon, in
welchem Spiel der betreffende Spieler spielt.
Die Mittellinie zählt auch im Außenfeld zu
beiden Feldern und darf folglich von den Au-
ßenfeldspielern betreten werden. Die oberen
Flächen der Bänke zur Feldtrennung (Sitz-
fläche und gegebenenfalls Balken unterhalb
der Sitzfläche) gelten als Mittellinie und ge-
hören folglich zu beiden Feldern. Das Ab-
springen oder Stellen auf die Bänke ist nicht
erwünscht.
Ein Übertritt ist als Berührung eines Feldbe-
reiches zu verstehen, der nicht zum jeweils ak-
tuellen Feldbereich zählt. Der aktuelle Feld-
bereich ist zu verstehen als der Bereich, in
dem ein Spieler zum Zeitpunkt des Ereig-
nisses spielt, d.h. bei Mannschaftsfeldspielern
das Mannschaftsfeld und bei Außenfeldspie-
lern der Außenbereich.
Ein Linienübertritt hat den Ballverlust zur
Folge. Dies gilt allerdings nur, wenn der über-
tretende Spieler im Ballbesitz ist oder durch
Fangen in Ballbesitz gelangt ist. Alle nach-
folgenden Aktionen gelten bei Übertritt als
ungültig, bis der Ball an die dieser Regelung
entsprechenden Mannschaft abgegeben wur-
de. Wird eine Linie übertreten, nachdem der
Ball vom Spieler abgegeben oder geworfen

A line is considered to be crossed if a team
fielder crosses the middle, side or base line or
an outfielder enters or crosses corresponding
lines. Consequently, this also applies to a field
area change - regardless of the playing field in
which the player currently plays. Even in the
outfield the middle line belongs to both fields
and may therefore be steped on by the out-
field players. The upper surfaces of the field

Crossing a line is to be understood as tou-
ching the ground of a field area that does not
belong to the current field area. The current
field area is to be understood as the area in
which a player plays at the time of the event,
i.e. for team field players the team playing
field and for outfield players the outsidefield.
Crossing a line results into loss of the invol-
ved ball. However, this only applies if the of-
fending player is in possession of the ball or
has been taken possession of the ball by cat-
ching. In case of line-crossing, all subsequent
actions shall be deemed invalid until the ball
has been handed over to the team correspon-
ding to this regulation. If a line is crossed
after the ball has been dropped or thrown by
the player, it will not be considered a line-
crossing.

Ein Spieler, welcher mit gehobener Hand
einläuft, darf nicht abgeworfen werden. Das
Senken der Hand und damit die Freigabe
zum Abwurf muss jedoch innerhalb einer an-
gemessenen Orientierungs- bzw. Positionie-
rungszeit erfolgen. Aus Gründen der Fairness
sollte gerade einlaufenden Spielern stets die
Chance gegeben werden, sich günstig auf dem
Mannschaftsfeld zu positionieren.
Beim Feldbereichswechsel dürfen vorbeirol-
lende oder -fliegende Bälle nicht aktiv beein-
flusst werden. Sollte sich ein Spieler nicht dar-
an halten und aktiv einen Ball beeinflussen,
wird der Ball der gegnerischen Mannschaft
zugesprochen - unabhängig davon wo er oh-
ne Eingriff gelandet wäre. Sollte die Beein-
flussung nicht zu vermeiden sein (versehentli-
ches oder zufälliges Hineinlaufen in die Flug-
bahn, Schutzreflexe etc.), gilt dies nicht und
der Ball verbleibt, wo er anschließend ist. Ein
Mitnehmen des Balles von einem zum ande-
ren Feldbereich kommt einem Linienübertritt
gleich und ist daher nicht erlaubt.
5.8 Zeitspiel / Playing for Time
Sollte der Ball länger als 10 s bei einem Spie-
ler verbleiben oder nach 15-maligem Ball-
wechsel innerhalb einer Mannschaft kein Ab-
wurfversuch unternommen worden sein, hat
dies den Ballverlust zur Folge.
Der Schiedsrichter hat dabei einen Ermes-
sensspielraum und sollte bei etwa 7 s ohne

When a player changes the field area because
he has been thrown off or brought himself
back into the game by a valid throw-off, the
player has to lift a hand in a clearly visible
way.
A player who enters the inner field with a rai-
sed hand should not be thrown off. However,
lowering of the hand and thus showing to be
ready, must take place within an appropriate
orientation or positioning time. For the sake
of fairness, incominging players should always
be given the chance to position themselves fa-
vorably on the team field.
When changing the field area, passing or fly-
ing balls must not be actively influenced. If
a player does not stick to this and actively
influences a ball, this ball is handed over to
the opposing team - regardless of where the
ball would have landed without intervention.
If the influence is unavoidable (accidentally
entry into the trajectory, protective reflexes,
etc.), this does not apply and the ball remains
where it is after the accidental interaction. A
take away of the ball from one to the other
field area equals a line-crossing and is there-
fore not allowed.
If the ball remains with a player for more
than 10 seconds or if is passed within a team
for 15 times without any try of hitting opp-
sing players, this will result in the loss of the
ball. The referee has a discretionary decision
and should give about 7 seconds without ral-
ly or 12-time rally without throw-off attempt

6 Ausball / Ball out
6.1 Ballzugehörigkeit / Affiliation of the Ball
Der Ball gehört jeweils zu dem Feldbereich in
dem sich der Schwerpunkt des Balles (Zen-
trum des Balles oder auch die dickste Stelle)
- entsprechend der Linienregeln - befindet.
Gelangt der Ball in den Bereich außerhalb
des Außenfeldes, bleibt der Ball im Besitz der
Mannschaft, auf deren Außenfeldseite (aus-
gehend von der Mittellinie) der Ball das Feld
verlassen hat.
6.2 Übergriff und Ausrollen des Balles / Crossover and the Rolling out
of the Ball
Der Ball darf nicht in das eigene Feld hinein-
gezogen werden, es sei denn er befindet sich
oberhalb von ca. 1,50 m (etwa Schulterhöhe).
Dies ist unabhängig davon, ob der Ball be-
reits den Boden im entsprechenden Feld be-
rührt hat. Wird diese Regel missachtet, be-
deutet dies Ballverlust.
Von dieser Regel ausgenommen ist eventuel-
les Überfassen beim Wurf eines Balles, d.h. ist
der Ball vor dem Überfassen in festem Besitz
eines Spielers, gilt ein anschließendes Bewe-
gen des Balles unterhalb von 1,50 m hinter
die Linie nicht als Übergriff und muss nicht

Should a throw-off be not clear (for exam-

7 Wertung / Scoring
7.1 Spielmodus / Game Mode

führt werden, welche zum Ausscheiden eini-
ger Mannschaften führt, welche sich in einer
Nebenrunde begegnen um über die Belegung
der letzten Plätze zu entscheiden. Die nicht
ausgeschiedenen Mannschaften begegnen sich
in einer Hauptrunde und spielen um die ers-
ten Plätze. Auch hier wird jeweils ein Liga-
System empfohlen.
Die Anzahl von 14 Spielen je Mannschaft und
Turnier sollte nicht überschritten werden, da
die Belastung für die Spieler insbesondere im
Breitensportbereich andernfalls zu groß wird.
7.2 Ende eines Spieles / End of Game
Sobald der König einer Mannschaft alle drei
Leben verloren hat, so gilt das Spiel für eben
diese Mannschaft als verloren, vgl. Abschnitt
4. Sollte nach Ablauf der Spielzeit von (in
der Regel) 15 min kein eindeutiges Ergebnis
feststehen, gilt das Spiel als unentschieden.
Die Gewinnermannschaft erhält zwei Punk-
te, die Verlierermannschaft null Punkte. Im
Falle eines Unentschiedens bekommen bei-
de Mannschaften je einen Punkt. Zusätzlich
kann ein Vorteil für die Mannschaft, welche
bei Zeit bedingtem Abbruch des Spiels mehr
Feldspieler zuzüglich der restlichen Leben des
Königs besitzt, vermerkt werden.
Die Gesamtplatzierung wird entsprechend
der erreichten Gesamtpunktzahl vorgenom-
men. Bei Punktegleichstand kommt es zum

Depending on the available time window, a
league system (everyone-against-everyone) is
recommended. In a larger number of teams, a
preliminary round can be introduced, which
leads to the retirement of some teams that
meet in a side round to decide on the occu-
pancy of the last places. The non-eliminated
teams meet in the main round and play for
the first places. Again, a league system is re-
commended.
The number of 14 games per team and tour-
nament should not be exceeded, because
the burden on players, especially in popular
sports, would otherwise be too ?large?.
As the king of a team has lost all three lives,
the game for this same team is considered
lost, cf. Section 4. If at the end of the game
time of (usually) 15 minutes no clear result is
known, the game is considered a draw.
The winner team gets two points, the loser
team zero points. In case of a tie both teams
get one point each. In addition, an advantage
may be noted for the team having more field
players plus the remaining lives of the king if
the game ends due to time issues.
The overall placement will be made accor-
ding to the total score achieved. If there is a
tie, there will be a jump-off of the respective
teams or the evaluation of existing notices of
advantage. In the latter case, the team that
has gained more advantages is ranked higher.

treten einer Mannschaft wird der gegneri-
schen Mannschaft der Sieg 3 min nach Spiel-
beginn zugesprochen. Als unvollständiges
Antreten gilt eine Spielerzahl von weniger
als der vorgeschriebenen Mindestgröße der
Mannschaft, d.h. weniger als sieben Spieler.
Ein Antreten einer Mannschaft mit einer ver-
minderten Spielerzahl, jedoch mindestens der
Mindestspielerzahl, vgl. Abschnitt 3, ist nach
Absprache möglich. In diesem Fall darf die
Spielerzahl nach Beginn des Spiels nicht auf-
gestockt werden.
8 Schiedsrichter / Referee
8.1 Verantwortlichkeit und Entscheidungsgewalt / Responsibility and
Power of Decision
Der Schiedsrichter ist für den kompletten und
regelkonformen Verlauf des Spieles verant-
wortlich. Sein Urteil ist über jedem Zwei-
fel erhaben und endgültig. Es ist untersagt,
durch Einflussnahme jeglicher Art sein Ur-
teil zu beeinflussen. Entscheidungen bezüg-
lich Treffern, Ausbällen, Zopf- und Beklei-
dungstreffern, Erdbällen und Übertritten ob-
liegt seinem Ermessen und dürfen nach Rück-
sprache mit dem Linienrichter nur von ihm
korrigiert werden. Er hat ebenfalls die Befug-
nis, das Spiel zu unterbrechen oder abzubre-
chen. Alle Entscheidung des Schiedsrichters
sind von ihm deutlich anzuzeigen.

In the absence or incomplete appearance of
a team, the victory is awarded 3 minutes af-
ter the game for the opposing team. An in-
complete appearance is a number of players
less than the prescribed minimum size of the
team, ie. less than seven players. A start of a
team with a reduced number of players, but
at least the minimum number of players, cf.
Section 3, is possible after consultation. In
this case, the number of players must not be
increased after the start of the game.
The referee is responsible for the comple-
te and compliant process of the game. His
judgment is above all doubt and final. It is
forbidden to affect his judgment by ?influ-

blowouts, braid or clothing hits, earth balls
and crossovers are at his discretion and may
only be corrected by him after consultation
with the linesman. He also has the authority

of the referee are to be clearly indicated by

8.2 Linienrichter / Linesman
Zur Unterstützung des Schiedsrichters kann
und soll nach Möglichkeit dem Schiedsrich-
ter ein Linienrichter zur Seite gestellt wer-
den, welcher die Einhaltung der Linienregeln
beobachtet und dem Schiedsrichter seine Be-
obachtungen mitteilt. Das Urteil des Schieds-
richters hat größeres Gewicht als das des Li-
nienrichters.
Der Linienrichter wird entweder fest für den
Verlauf eines Spieles bzw. Turnieres aufge-
stellt oder von Spielern verkörpert, welche
zum Zeitpunkt eines Spieles nicht Mitglied
der beteiligten Mannschaften sind. Keines
Falls darf ein Spieler als Linienrichter eines
Spieles fungieren, bei dem die eigene Mann-
schaft antritt.
8.3 Kontrolle auf Vollständigkeit / Check of Completeness
Zu Beginn eines jeden Spieles überprüft der
Schiedsrichter die Anwesenheit und Vollstän-
digkeit der sich begegnenden Mannschaften.
Tritt eine Mannschaft nicht rechtzeitig oder
unvollständig an gilt die Regelung nach Ab-
schnitt 7.3.
8.4 Behinderung des Spielbetriebes / Interference with the Game
Die Schieds- und Linienrichter haben darauf
zu achten, den Spielbetrieb nicht zu behin-
dern. Sollte dennoch eine ungewollte Beein-
flussung stattgefunden haben, wird das Spiel,

entspricht dies der Niederlage der entspre-
chenden Mannschaft.
Als unsportliches Verhalten ist vermehrtes
Übertreten, Behinderung und Ablenken an-
derer Spieler, Störung des Spiels durch un-
angebrachtes Verhalten (Schreien, Beleidi-
gen u.ä.), Tätlichkeiten gegenüber anderen
Spielern, fahrlässiges Handeln und wiederhol-
te Missachtung von Schiedsrichterentschei-
dungen anzusehen. Verwiesene Spieler dür-
fen während des gesamten laufenden Spiels
und bei besonders schwerwiegendem Verhal-
ten während des gesamten laufenden Turniers
nicht ersetzt werden.

There is basically fair play. In the event of
unsportsmanlike conduct it is up to the refe-
ree to pronounce warnings (yellow card) and
dismissals (red card).
Should unsporting behavior be ascertained,
the referee has the opportunity to warn in-
dividual players up to the entire team or to
expel them from the game.
Unsportsmanlike behavior is increased line-
crossing, obstructing and distracting other
players, disrupting the game through in-
appropriate behavior (screaming, insulting,
etc.), assaulting other players, negligence,
and repeated disregard of referee’s decisi-
ons. Sent off players may not be replaced
throughout the current game and in particu-
larly serious behavior throughout the current
tournament.
