Possible Rehearsal Conflict- We need to know any and ALL possible conflicts you have. This
includes, but is not limited to other school activities/practices/tryouts/meets, doctor’s
appointments of any kind, therapy appointments, special family events, etc.
You have access to a rehearsal schedule. You need to take the initiative to figure it out.
Conflicts must be noted on audition sheet. In case of illness, you must notify director AT LEAST 8
hours before rehearsal begins via email. Failure to do this will result in an unexcused absence.
Please Print and Sign Below, this indicates that you are committed to completing being at rehearsal.
This also indicates that you understand that failure to attend rehearsals will result in your removal
from the show. .
YOU MUST ALSO FILL OUT THE STUDENT CONTRACT AND RETURN IT ALONG
WITH THIS FORM BY THE DATE OF AUDITIONS.

Please note that anyone wanting to crew for a show is REQUIRED to put in SOME hours
of afterschool technical time. (With the exception of Ushers and House Managers) . This
will be further discussed when the crew list is posted.
Failure to acquire hours by assigned date will result in removal from the crew of the
show.
Please also note that all crew members are to be at all tech rehearsals and all rehearsals
during show week.
For the Spring Musical, this means all techies must be at rehearsals beginning on Feb 22,
2018.
Job/Title of Show
Please rank the positions you are interested in 1 being the one you want most, etc: Failure to
rank all positions may mean that I do not use you. If I need someone to be on a crew, and it’s
the only position I have left and they have not ranked that position, they will not get anything.

STUDENT ACTOR/TECHNICAN CONTRACT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF
Read the following responsibilities carefully, and then sign below ONLY if you can meet them.
I will attended all required meetings, workdays, tech rehearsals, dress rehearsals,
performances, etc. (Rehearsals will begin promptly at 3:15)
Conflicts must be noted on audition sheet. Any conflict not on the audition sheet will be
counted as an unexcused absence. In case of illness, I must notify director AT LEAST 8 hours
before rehearsal begins. This must be done via email. Failure to do this will result in an
unexcused absence. Any illness that results in missing school should be followed by a
doctor’s note.
I agree to not schedule any new appointments that would interfere with my production
responsibilities.
If I miss a required rehearsal/workday and do not contact the Director, I understand that my
lack of consideration is enough for me to be dismissed from the show entirely. 3 unexcused
absences will result in removal from some or all of the show.
I agree to RESPECT the authority of the Stage Manager and ASMs during the course of this
production.
I understand that if I say I will accept any tech position, the directors will assume that I
will actually accept any position I am given. I am also aware that if this is not the case, I
should indicate such on my form.
I will not use my production responsibilities as an excuse for not completing assignments for
other classes in a timely fashion.
5
If I am between projects, or not sure of what to work on next, I will reach out to the student
tech director, or one of the faculty directors for guidance. I WILL NOT loiter backstage or
waste time being unproductive
I understand this show requires collaboration, and I am part of a team effort, so I will have a
positive attitude, and will be cooperative and willing to work during any rehearsal or
performance.
I understand the Director will make final choices pertaining to my crew positions(s).
I will make sure my parents or caretakers are aware of my responsibilities and production
schedule.
I understand that all rehearsals/workdays and shows are a school function; thus, all school
policies will be strictly enforced.
I understand that failing to live up to these responsibilities could lead to the dismissal from the
production.
I understand that if I choose not to participate in the production after being given a position,
out of respect I will email the Director to let them know.
I understand that if I do not meet the minimum number of hours I will be removed from the
crew.
I understand that I will be required to wear black clothing if backstage during the show.
I understand that I will have to fill out an electronic time card to keep track of my hours and
that it is my responsibility to remember to do this after every work day.
I understand that I am always auditioning and that all of my behaviors and actions during this
production may hinder future casting or crew assignments.
I understand that my student is not to miss practices for anything other than MAJOR reasons. There
are specific expectations that students are to meet, this includes being at practices when they are
supposed to be. I understand students were given an opportunity to write down all conflicts prior to
their audition.
I understand that the closer we get to the actual production, the longer rehearsals will be. Students will
be asked to stay later than 5:15 when we get closer to the end of the performance.
I understand that the week before the production (Called “Tech Week”) is essential and my student
MUST BE THERE and they must be able to stay until rehearsal is over (which may be later than 5:15)
I understand that there will be 2 dress rehearsals and that they will probably not end until around 7:30
or later. I know that I must communicate with the director if there is a reason my child needs to leave
early.
I understand that it is illegal to take pictures or video during the production. If you would like to do so,
you are welcome at any and all rehearsals and dress rehearsals.
I understand that as per school rules, students must be at school no later than 12:00 in order participate
in after school activities. If a student is ill or misses school, they cannot participate in activities that
evening. This would include rehearsals and performances of the musical.
I understand that anyone cast in the show may be required to pay the $40.00 fee by the end of January
2018 to participate in the production.
I understand that my student’s actions may cause their removal from the show if they are misbehaving.
I understand that if I decide to remove my student from the production, it will affect the entire cast and
potentially the crew. It would be best to inform the director prior to making the final decision to do so.
I also understand that the closer it gets to the production, the more detrimental this action would be to
the performance.
