Volcanoes using
proper terminology

Estimated Time: 110 minutes

referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers.

i. TW say, “As volcanoligists it’s important to have a strong
knowledge of how volcanoes are formed and what causes them.
Since we are scientists it is important to use scientific terms.
Today’s workshop we will be reveiwing the vocabulary terms of
volcanoes along with how they are created and what causes them.
To measure the amount of knowledge we acquire over the series of
volcano workshops, we will begin this lesson by filling a KWL chart.
At the end of the week we will fill in the “L” section of the chart ot
compare our knowledge before and after.”
