Mall overview

Built on the core of Lisbon’s Expo’98
Universal Exhibition, after serving as its
main gate during the event, Vasco da Gama
is one of the most acclaimed shopping
centres worldwide. Distinguished by
its environmental quality, mixing a bold
contemporary vision of architecture with a
subtle evocation of the seas and the oceans,
Vasco da Gama brings together innovative
energy-saving systems with the “Oceans”
design theme continuously reflected in the
smallest details.
Main features include, across the mall,
an immense vaulted skylight with a
continuous water flow that creates shadow
and lowers the glassing temperature, while
creating a dazzling effect inside. A set of
twin 26-storey residential towers
completes this highly successful mixed-use
ensemble.
