marketing in many different industries in the 1930s,
and the motor industry was no exception.
During the 1930s, when most folks couldn’t even
afford to put food on the table, upscale car makers
turned out luxury vehicles with incredible features.

company was started by Emile Delahaye in 1894, in
Tours, France. His first cars were beltdriven, with
single or twincylinder engines. In 1900, Delahaye
left the company. The company lasted until 1954.
