MIDTERM GROUP ASSIGNMENT

Course : Intermediate Accounting Lab Level 1, PKN STAN

1. The assignment for Group number 1, 3, 5, 7 is to compose a paper about a

review of IFRS based financial statements of a public company. There are
several steps you have to follow:

• Firstly, Look for IFRS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF A PUBLIC

COMPANY comprised of statement of financial position, income
statement, and notes to financial statement. You can find them on
jakarta stock exchange website, then

• Secondly, analyze the format used (one/two statement approach),

• Thirdly, describe the elements of every statement,

• Fourthly, provide a compliance review to the financial statement

criteria as we have discussed in the balance sheet and income
statement chapter,

• Fifthly, expose some incisive critiques on the statements.

• Sixthly, least but not last, each group has to perform bankruptcy
assessment analysis by implementing the Altman Model as you can
read the description in Chapter 5, Kieso’s Book, page: 196. DO NOT
FORGET to conclude the result.

2. The assignment for Group number 2, 4, 6, 8 is to compose a paper about a

review of Non-IFRS based financial statements of a company. There are
several steps you have to follow:

• Firstly, Look for NON IFRS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF A COMPANY

comprised of statement of financial position, income statement, and
notes to financial statement. You can find information about them on
google,

• Secondly, analyze the format used (one/two statement approach),

• Thirdly, describe the elements of every statement,

 • Fourthly, provide a compliance review to the financial statement
criteria as we have discussed in the balance sheet and income
statement chapter,

• Fifthly, expose some incisive critiques on the statements.

• Sixthly, least but not last, each group has to perform bankruptcy

3. The due date for this assignment is on October 30, 2018.

4. Course’s PIC has to compile paper works from every group, then send the
paper’s softcopy, in PDF and MSWord format, to my email
(resi.ariyasa@gmail.com) and the hardcopy along with your midterm
exam answer sheet.

5. The paper writing guidelines are described as follows:

a. The paper script is written in Bahasa or English. English written paper

will be granted a far more higher scores than Bahasa written paper.

b. The script should be presented using the paper template.

c. The script is consisted of 3 sections: (a) introduction, (b) paper

question, (c) detailed analysis and result, (d) conclusion, and (e)
reference.

d. The script should be written in 6000 – 8000 words or 14 – 20 pages.

e. The identity of each group should be well informed.
