History of Sgt. Prospero G. Bello High School

How did really Sgt. Bello start? Where did Sgt. Bello Start? What is the real story behind Sgt.
Prospero G. Bello High School-Main?
Sgt. Prospero G. Bello was born and started on the 9th day of July 1981 with the help of 6
Barangays: Papan, Napaliong, Minuri, Sta. Isabel, Sto. Domingo and Dumawing, Barangay
Officials and Head Teacher Andres C. Santos of A.C. Ruiz Elementary School. The school
first reside at A. C Ruiz Elementary School located at Purok 3 Napaliong Jones Isabela. for
two years with “KUBO’s” made with “bamboo” as Classrooms and “Bayanihan” of the
barangays people and parents to build it. After two years the school eventually moved at Purok
7 Napaliong Jones Isabela Cascayan’s lot with the help of Eldifonso Cascayan the owner of
the lot and the Barangay Captain by talking. The lot measured 2 hectares was replaced with 6
hectares with the original school lot located at Bunotan. The school then began to expand and
improve with the help of barangay officials and municipal officials headed by barangay
chairman Ignacio Ruiz of Napaliong and kagawad Crisanto Gonatise of Sto. Domingo and one
of jones municipal councilors and one of forest region in charge by making resolutions to be
signed and approved by the congress. The year 1981 the school started with only three teachers
namely Ms. Tennie Esteban, Mrs. Prudelyn Galla and Mrs. Helen Vibar with two curriculum
level the first year high school and second year high school. The year 1982-1983 the faculty
staff was added by Ms. Lolita Agorilla and Ms. Milagros Uao. The next year it was followed
by Mrs. Corazon Vicitasion and Mrs. Evelyn Dela Cruz followed by Mr. Leonardo Pascual.
As the year passed by being the only man on the group Mr. Leonardo Pascual was assigned by
Mr. Andres Santos being the teacher in-charge. Mr. Pascual didn’t make it longer and
eventually moved to another work he was replaced with Mrs. Tennie Esteban Badua. Year
1986 Mrs. Helen Vibar replaced Mrs. Tenie Badua as Teacher in-charge up to 2000. Mrs. Helen
Vibar being blessed got the title of being Principal 1 Year 2000. With the help of local and
national officials; Congressman Antonio Abaya—the bello got buildings and it named after
him, amphitheater home and Economic Building; Hesus T. Sebastian and Prospero G. Bello
grant buildings that was also named after them. Through years with the help of new elected
Congressman Georgidi Aggabao the Sgt. Prospero G. Bello got a new building and named after
him. The next congressman Anthony Miranda also grant Sgt. Prospero G. Bello a building and
also named after him. Year 2003 with the help of Barangay officials the Sgt. Bello expand and
made its annex located at Dumawing Jones Isabela, the expanding aim to help those students
on this area and near to have a less distance to school compare to the main campus. School
Year 2014-2015 with the leadership of Mrs. Rosalinda Asuncion the current principal at that
year and with the new born curriculum which is K-12 a new building called senior high school
was born and one two story building year 2015-2016. In the present two new buildings are
under construction under the leadership of Mrs. Helen Vibar the current and present Principal.
Sgt. Bello truly undergo many process and long road from three teachers to five to eight to
eleven until present with more than thirty teachers, from “kubo” made by “bamboo” and “pan-
aw” to stabilized cement classrooms, from few buildings to many buildings, from being a
community school to public school, from only one to Sgt. Prospero G. Bello High School Main
and Annex. Thanks to those kindhearted mans who contribute for its betterment we have this
upgraded bello now. From nothing to a competitive school and yes that is SGT. BELLO.
