As the central bank of the United States, the Federal Reserve
System
 regulates banks to help ensure the soundness of the
banking system and the safety of deposits
 influences the money supply and interest rates in the
economy to keep inflation low and stable
 Provides financial services to banks and the federal
government.
The Federal Reserve System consists of a Board of Governors
and 12 federal reserve banks.
The chairperson is appointed by the president and approved by
the Senate.
-I will provide videos to for the students to watch about what
the federal reserve is and how it is made up.
-I will then, in a video I make of myself with screen casting,
explain the different ways the federal reserve manipulates the
economy to try and keep it balanced. Explaining what inflation
is and how it can hurt economy and the benefits of full
employment. Also how employment percentages can
manipulate an economy.
-Then I will provide a simulation that each student is required
to do. They will provide proof of attempting the game with a
screen shot of the successful or unsuccessful attempt.
-There will be a discussion board to explain their outcomes and
a couple sentences about what they found about how difficult
the federal reserve’s job is. They will also have to respond to at
least 2 other classmates.
