Work Instruction Remarks/result


1 Obtain PTW from SIC. TO do isolation if necessary
2 Prepare proper tools & book out oil from store using Shell Rimula R4X 15W40. (or
SAE 40 equivalent).

For oil topping up activity - open lube oil cap, and by using funnel, transfer new
3 oil from the drum into the diesel engine lube oil sump tank until required level.
Close the lube oil cap and check the final lube oil level once toppung up
completed.

4 For oil change/replacement activity - ensure trays, cotton rags & empty drums are
available to drain the oil.
Drain the oil from lube oil sump into empty drum. Ensure drum is place on the oil
5 bund to avoid spilage to ground. Ensure the lube oil cap is removed before
proceeding to drain lube oil.
Ensure oil is completely drained from the lube oil sump. Check and report if
6 observed any metallic particles in the lube oil. Close all drain point before topping
up new oil.

Before lube oil top up or change, carry out filter inspection. Inspect condition of
7 air filter. Service air filter if slight dirt accumulation observed using compressed
air. If Scheduled maintenace is not yet due, plan to replace air filter if heavy
accumulation observed or if diesel engine perfomance deteriorated

Inspect condition of fuel filter. After isolation of fuel line, inspect fuel filter. If
8 scheduled maintenace is not yet due, plan to replace fuel filter if heavy
accumluation observed or if diesel engine perfomance deteriorated.

9 Prepare proper tools & book out oil from store. Carry out necessary replace ment

10 Replace the lube oil filter, fuel and air filter at the schedule maintenance interval.
New lube oil filter shall be installed to required specification (tightness)

11 Top up oil to the required level. Check if any oil leakages. Final checks if filters
were replaced (tightness).
12 All oily cotton rags to be disposed as Scheduled Waste.
13 Housekeeping
14 Cancelled PTW. Normalize the lube oil system
15 Top up oil online after normalize, if the lube oil level drop

For oil topping up activity - open lube oil tank cover, and by using hand pump to
3 transfer new oil from the drum into the lube oil tank to the required level. Close
the lube oil tank cover once topping up completed

4 For oil Change/replacement activity - ensure trays, cotton rags & empty drums is
available to drain the oild

5 Drain the oil from lube oil tank into empty drum. Ensure drum is place on the oil
bund to avoid spillage to ground.
6 Collect oil sample for lab analysis.

7 Ensure oil is completely drain from the lube oil tank. Close all drain point before
topping up new oil

8 Top up oil to the required level . Checks if any oil leakage.

9 Ally oil cotton rags to be disposed as Scheduled Waste.

10 Housekeeping

11 Cancelled PTW. Normalize the lube oil system

12 Top up oil online after normalize, if the lube oil level drop
