The Levites Chorale BatStateU Malvar Profile

The Levites Chorale formerly known as “Liriko” is the official university choir Batangas State
University Malvar Campus. It consists of college students and alumni members. It was formally organized
on April 2013 under Mr. Lester S. Cueva, the conductor and founding adviser, Mr. Teejay Panganiban. The
choir recognize for its goal of uplifting and developing the student vocal skills and talents through different
disciplines. The choir usually sing at Flag Ceremony, Events and activities inside the campus. As time goes
by, the choir started to sing in weddings and some events outside the campus. The choir also participate
at some choral festival and competitions inside and outside the campus.

In 2015, the choir started to compete. Their first competition is “Harana” held at Mabini Shrine,
Tanauan City Batangas last July 2015 and they got 4th place out 12 participating choirs. Next competition
is a school-based choral competition held at Batangas State University Malvar Campus and they became
the champion against BatSateU Lipa Campus during Dual Meet choral competition last August 2015. The
choir became back-to-back champion when they compete in BatStateU Main Campus in Inter-Campus
Choral Competition last September 2015 and they represent the Batangas province in Regional Level.
During Regional Level, the choir won 5th place out of 9 participating regions during the Southern Tagalog
Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) Culture and Arts Festival last October
2016 held at Southern Luzon State University, Lucban Quezon. Last November 2015, the choir compete in
National Level entitled “TNT Pitch Panalo Perfect” held at Target Mall, Sta. Rosa City Laguna and they got
the 3rd place. The choir won 2nd place at the Inter-Unit Culture & Arts Festival last May 2017. Recently, the
choir participate again in Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges
(STRASUC) Culture and Arts Festival last October 2018 and they got the 5th place held at Laguna State
Polytechnic University, San Pablo City Laguna.

The choir also serve in Immaculate Conception Parish at Malvar Batangas as their extension
service. They invited to join in a grand choir mass last January 2017 for the 4th World Apostolic Congress
on Mercy (WACOM) held at St. Padre Pio National Shrine and during the Pastoral Visit in Immaculate
Conception Parish. They also participate in some choral festival in Canossa Academy Lipa City and “Kristal”
Choral Festival held at Lyceum of the Philippines University Laguna.

The Levites continues its mission and vision in serving God, the school and the communities.

Our first song will be a sacred song entitled “Hear my Prayer” Words and Music by Moses Hogan,
runtime is 2 minutes and 25 seconds. The second song will be “Esto Les Digo” Arranged by Kinley Large,
runtime is 3 minutes and 42 seconds. The third song is “Pare Mahal mo Raw ako” Arranged by Christopher
Ryan Roncales, 4 minutes and 13 seconds. And for our last song ,we will sing “Paru-Parong Bukid”
Arranged by Mr. Lester Delgado runtime is 2 minutes and 5 seconds.
