Course Outline
Laparoscopic surgery has become an
integral part of every surgeon’s
practice. Procedures like diagnostic
laparoscopy, biopsy, cholecystectomy
and appendicectomy are now a patient
demand as also a surgeon’s
preference. This is true even in the
most remote part of our world. Patients
want to recover faster and get back to
work quickly. Every surgeon practicing
today needs to understand the
principles and fundamentals of
laparoscopic surgery and avoid
compromises and complications. This
four day comprehensive course
encompasses “all-in-one with
certification” to fulfill the dreams of any
surgeon wishing to practice safe
laparoscopic surgery.

Course Outline
There is one difference between an
average laparoscopic surgeon and an
advanced laparoscopic surgeon – it is the
ability to take a suture and tie a knot. A
laparoscopic surgeon cannot or does not
progress to advanced procedures without
this in his / her armamentarium. It is this
ability that can even get a surgeon out of
difficult situations in basic laparoscopic
procedures.
Course Objectives
• Learn to tie laparoscopic • Two-day extensive hands-on course
extracorporeal knots
• Lectures by expert faculty
• Learn to make an endoloop
• Supervised training in simulation
• Learn to take interrupted and and Porcine tissue laboratories
continuous intracorporeal sutures
• Plenty of opportunity for informal
interaction with the expert faculty

Course Outline
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD),
Achalasia Cardia and Paraesophageal
hernia are common disorders that are
eminently suitable for laparoscopic
treatment. The superiority of laparoscopic
treatment for all these disorders has been
confirmed in surgical literature. Surgeons
with interest in laparoscopic surgery
should attain the skills required to treat
these conditions.
