CEMAST is an autonomous body, run by surgeons for

surgeons, not for commerce, not for profit, purely an
academic initiative. The only Indian center to provide
extensive HANDS-ON TRAINING for all surgical specialities
in Minimal Access Surgery under expert faculty supervision.

Surgery Course 23rd Apr - 26th Apr
focused on 30th May - 2nd Jun
Cholecystectomy and Appendicectomy

Course Outline
Laparoscopic surgery has become an
integral part of every surgeon’s
practice. Procedures like diagnostic
laparoscopy, biopsy, cholecystectomy
and appendicectomy are now a patient
demand as also a surgeon’s
preference. This is true even in the
most remote part of our world. Patients
want to recover faster and get back to
work quickly. Every surgeon practicing
today needs to understand the
principles and fundamentals of
laparoscopic surgery and avoid
compromises and complications. This
four day comprehensive course
encompasses “all-in-one with
certification” to fulfill the dreams of any
surgeon wishing to practice safe
laparoscopic surgery.

Knot-tying and suturing in laparoscopic

surgery has been the “Achilles’ heel” of
novices and sometimes even of an
advanced laparoscopic surgeon. The
course promises extensive training in
this aspect with dedicated hours in the
simulation as well as Porcine tissue
laboratories to perfect skills including
suturing.

and Suturing in Surgery

Course Outline
There is one difference between an
average laparoscopic surgeon and an
advanced laparoscopic surgeon – it is the
ability to take a suture and tie a knot. A
laparoscopic surgeon cannot or does not
progress to advanced procedures without
this in his / her armamentarium. It is this
ability that can even get a surgeon out of
difficult situations in basic laparoscopic
procedures.

This course is designed to give the

participants an in-depth and step-by-step
understanding with extensive hands-on
experience of laparoscopic knot-tying and
suturing. Dedicated / Eminent National
Faculty will be by your side to help and
guide you through each step.
