Tanker Content
Product in Transport Tankers are identified by marking on each side and rear back of the tanker as shown
below:
Grade Identification
First digit indicate the number of “9” in the Assay (as %) of a gas grade in the 6 digits format of YY.YYYY
Third digit normally one of the following 4 words A. B. C & S indicate test and certification status of the particular
grade.
For Example
Oxygen Grade 5.5 A
First 5 indicate that Assay in percentage have Five “9” and last digit is 5. Thus Assay for this grade may be read as
99.9995%. “A” indicates the individual cylinder will be tested for compliance and certificate will be available on
request.
