 Students will recognize the process of the lifecycle LC1: Cards

• I will introduce the lesson (Today we will learn about the life cycle of the plants, how the plant grows and what the plants
need to grow up).

• I will show them a picture of a piece of watermelon with his seeds and ask them (can you tell me what this is).

• Then I will ask them (Do you see the seeds of the watermelon) Students will say (yes), I will ask them (where? can you
show me) they will be pointing with their finger, I will ask one student to come and point to the seeds for example, (Zayed can
you come and show us where are the seeds).

• Ask them (what do you think the plant needs to grow and become a tree?).

• If they did not know or they give me wrong answers I will ask them (When you feel thirsty what do you want to drink?)
they will answer, then I will tell them (So Plants are also like us they need water to live and to grow, and what else do you
think they need?).

After finishing the video and discussing I will explain the activities to the students.

Learning Center 1 Title: Cards ordering Learning Center 2 Title: Flowers parts.

Students will have cards Pictures of the plant's life cycle, Students will have an A3 paper that draws on it a flower,
they will need to order the pictures from the first process to students will need to stick the plants part names, roots, stem,
the last and they need to discuss and talk about each process. leaf, and flower. And they need also to stick the pictures of
the needs of the plant to grow, Soil, water, air, and sun.

Then students will be coloring the flower.

Learning Center 3 Title: Welcome to my garden Learning Center 4 Title: Create your own flower.

Students will draw their own garden. Students will use the materials that they will have and use it
to create their own flowers.

Science Lesson Reflection

I was trained at the International school of creative science for my EPC course. The school is applying the
early years foundation stage (EYFS) curriculum. And the features of the EYFS curriculum that the school
is focused on 7 areas of learning. And they are language development, physical development, personal
and social development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and art. According to my MST,
she said that they used all these 7 areas of learning every day. Also, the school focused on assessment, the
teacher used to assess the students during activities time and wrote the students answers.

I have applied a science lesson about the life cycle of the plants. I began the lesson by asking them a
questions, the first question was about the trip “ where you will be going today”, they said “trip”, then I
tell them that they will be going to the flower nursery and I ask them “what do you think you will see
there, some of them said flowers and some said plants and trees, they were very excited for the trip. After
that, I introduce the lesson to them and we watch a video on YouTube about the process of the plant life
cycle.

I have prepared and applied 4 activities for the lesson based on the EYFS curriculum. Activity 1 was a
teamwork and was about to stick the names of the flower part in their correct places. So, students
discussed and shared the answers with each other, and that will help them to develop their social and
language skills.

Activity 2 was about ordering the pictures of the plant life cycle process from the first process to the final
process by a group. I was focused on this group because I need to check their understanding of the lesson,
so I make the students explained to me each process, and I have asked them questions. In this activity
also, the students will develop their language and communication skills and thinking.

Activity 3 and 4 focused on art.

Activity 3, students created their own flowers by using the materials that they had.

Activity 4, students painted their own garden and after that, they need to explain to me what they
have painted. I asked them if they have a garden in their homes and what they have in their
garden. That will develop their understanding of the world around them.

The things that went well on the lesson, that during the circle time the students were interactive
with me and answer me back when I asked them questions. They enjoyed watching the video and
they were interesting also. Students enjoyed doing the activities and they were interactive and
participating. Also, during the activity time, I was moving around the groups and ask the students
questions and make them talk about their work and they were understanding the lesson and
answer me back and they come to me to show me and explain their works to me.

The things that need to improve is my communication skills, I need to raise my voice. I will
work on my communication skills because that is a very important for being a teacher. Also, I
need to focus on activities by using a variety and different of activities.

Measurement Lesson Reflection

My second lesson was a math lesson and it was about length measurement. The learning
objective of the lesson is:

Students be able to measure the length by using non-standard units.

Students be able to recognize the meaning of measurement (length).

Students be able to use the word measure.

I had prepared 4 activities about measurement based on the Montessori curriculum.

The first activity is about to measure the length of each picture that they had by using the cubes
and write the number after that.

In the second activity, students had a small book called "my measurement book", this book
includes pictures of things that inside the classroom, such as pencil, keyboard, computer mouse,
and other things. so, students need to walk around the class and search for these things and
measure it by using cubes or paper clips. Students will be free to move around the class to
search for items and measuring the length by themselves.

The third activity was a cut and stick activity. students had worksheets that include pictures and
papers that written on its numbers. students count the squares in each picture and then they
search for the number from the number paper then they cut the number and stick it in the blank.

The fourth activity. students had an A3 paper that draws on it boys and girls of different length.
students measured Each boy and girl by using the cubes after they finished to measure all the
boys and girls, they use the colors for coloring.

There’re things happened during the lesson makes me feel happy and things thing that happened
makes me unhappy and need to improve.

The good thing was is the students were listening to me and they were participating. And the
second thing is, some of the students were doing their work completely.

The thing that makes me feel sad and unhappy, that the students during the mat activity were not
listening to me and that makes me get nervous and uncomfortable. So, I punish them by don't let
them make the carpet activity and that not should be happening. Also, during the activities time,
some of the students did not do the activity that I have told them to do.

What I’ll do to avoid these things to happen, I will raise my voice and speak clearly to the
students, I not going to punish them to not do the activity, I’ll give them a chance.

When i received the feedback from my MCT I had read it carefully to see what I need to improve
it, and she advised me to work on my communication skills by raising my voice and speak

slowly to make the students interact with me and listen to me. Also, to improve my classroom
management skills, and I need to never give the students the activity before I explain it to them
and I need to measure students learning by using a checklist. I will be aware of these advices and
I'll work hard and do my best to achieve them.
