1. Why is there a need for k -12?

The poor quality of education is reflected in the low achievement scores of the Filipino students
in the NAT and internal tests like Third International Math, Science Survey.
Students do not get adequate instructional time on their truck. This is partly due to congested
curriculum.
The current ten year basic curriculum is designed to be taught in 12 years.
Philippine basic education is congested in the elementary

15. Educators are extremely creative people working in an ever-changing and complex
profession. To truly improve education, we must fully understand the complexities creating the
results for children and call upon those closest to the problem to design better ways of
educating. Effective training for educators are very important. It is not just a training only but it
must be evaluated to monitor the application of what they had learn during those days. Give
him or her time to master his or her own specific field before they were given heavy task. We
teachers are needed to be flexible. But the question is “how” because we have only one body to
take over the task which are given to us. Do not give the teacher 4 or more preparation because
it already very heavy to them. They could not prepare for their lessons very well because of the
demand of work. Encourage the teachers to learn new things to easily adapt the changes in our
society. Admin works would not be the work of a classroom teachers so do not designate them
to the task which is not their responsibility already

16. The government should allocate more funds to education to construct more classrooms, to
hire and train competent teachers, and to provide quality and updated textbooks. We need to
follow the correct policy in hiring the teachers. Do not allow those politicians to enter the
education system. Eradicate “palakasan system in the field of education. Provide effective
trainings for the teachers in order for them to use it inside their classroom. Evaluate the
performance of your teachers. As Warner (n.d.) once said, “investing in high-quality early
childhood education has extraordinary returns, not only for the children, but also for our
workforce and economy. The best investments are made in community-grown programs that
truly meet local needs”.
