What is UDL?
• Universal Design for Learning

• UDL is an approach to learning, that targets those needs of


understanding for students and creates a more effective learning
environment for of all abilities.
Example:
 one may need more pictures, books, audio, darker front colors, bigger writing,
comfortable sitting, whatever makes a student more comfortable for learning

• Students can become motivated, resourceful, knowledgeable, and


goal driven

• UDL supports learners to become “experts learners” each


in their own way without being forced to do something
they are not comfortable with

• Provides multiple methods of learning for an inclusive


classroom
