For thousands of years, Egypt has been the playground of Emperors and Kings. Dating back to 5,000 B.C., it boasts of one of
the greatest collections of artefacts and monuments on this planet. Follow in the footsteps of the early Greeks, Romans and
others who came here to see some of mankind's earliest triumphs.
This luxurious tour will include a visit to Pyramids of Giza, the enigmatic Sphinx, monuments of Luxor, granite statues of Aswan
and of course a cruise down the ancient river Nile, with attention to every detail of the itinerary.

Day 1 Arrive Cairo

Welcome to your 'Cox & Kings - Egyptian Sojourn' tour!

On arrival in Cairo, your Cox & Kings representative will greet you at
the 'meeting point' at the exit. After immigration and customs, transfer
comfortably to your hotel (check-in after 1400 hours).
This evening, look forward to a dazzling Sound and Light Show at
Giza Pyramids. This spectacular show uses innovative techniques to
narrate the history of ancient Egypt with magnificent sound and light
effects against the Pyramids as a backdrop.

Day 2 Cairo

Today, enjoy a full day excursion to Alexandria, the city founded by

Alexander the Great. With an atmosphere more Mediterranean than
Middle Eastern, this city has many unique attractions. Spend the day
viewing the relics of a bygone age, the highlight of Alexandria.
Also visit the Qaitbay Fortress, Library and the Catacombs.

Day 3 Cairo

Spend the morning at the Great Pyramids of Giza. Cheops - one of

the oldest and largest pyramid on the Giza plateau, Chephren and
Mykerinos, and the defending Sphinx - one of the most majestic and
enduring monuments of Egypt.
Next, visit the Papyrus Institute. See the processes and efforts it took
to make this ancient form of paper. Also, enjoy the beautiful illustrative
Egyptian art and stories painted depicting Egyptian lifestyle and
culture.
Later, visit a Perfume Factory, where a demonstration in the art of
perfume making awaits you. The next stop is at the Jewellery Shop,
where you can browse through exquisite ornaments and shop to your
heart's content.
In the afternoon, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which
houses one of the world's greatest collections of Egyptian artefacts. It
boasts of more than 136,000 artefacts from over five thousand years of
Egyptian history.
End the day with a visit to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar - Cairo's most
important shopping area for souvenirs and all types of typical Egyptian
artefacts.

Day 4 Cairo - Aswan - Cruise embarkation

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for
your flight to Aswan.
On arrival, proceed to the cruise terminal and board your Nile Cruise.
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Aswan. Visit the High Dam, Philae
Temple, and Unfinished Obelisk.

Day 5 On board the Nile Cruise

This morning, proceed for an excursion to Abu Simbel - flanked by

the almost-as impressive temple of Nefertari. The entire site is truly
awe-inspiring.
Then, sail to Kom Ombo, the home of Sobek - the crocodile God who
was worshipped in pre-dynastic times. Witness the ancient remains of a
temple of a somewhat unusual style. In fact, it is a double temple. The
right hand temple is the one consecrated to Sobek and the second one
is dedicated to Haroeris - the falcon-headed Sky God. This temple was
built overlooking the Nile.
Continue sailing to Edfu. On arrival, take a horse carriage ride to visit
the Horus Temple. The best preserved temple in the whole of Egypt, it
has many inscriptions in the Coptic language and is adorned with
paintings from that era.

Day 6 On board the Nile Cruise

Today, sail to cross the Esna Lock on the Nile to reach Luxor. Later, we
cross over to the west bank of the Nile River to visit the Valley of the
Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon.
Later, visit the Luxor and Karnak Temples on the East Bank of the
Nile.

Day 7 Luxor

Early this morning, you have the option of embarking on an

unforgettable experience - a 40-minute hot air balloon ride over the
West Bank of Luxor viewing the Ramesseum Temple, Medinet Habu
Temple, desert, farmland and in the distance, the mighty river Nile.
Then, after disembarkation from your Nile Cruise, transfer to your hotel
in Luxor.

Day 8 Homeward Bound

A part of your tour price will be taken in USD from your LRS as per the RBI / GOI regulations.
For two adults & two children (both under 12 years) rooming together, the 1st child will have to pay ''child with bed'' price
and the 2nd child will pay ''child without bed'' price.
Child without bed is an individual under 12 years sharing the room with 2 full paying adults and without a bed/cost.
In case of 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children (both under 12 years) rooming together, the 1st child will have to pay 'child with
bed' price and the 2nd child will pay 'child without bed' price.
Once an air ticket is issued, date change penalty and re-routing charges (as applicable) will be applicable. Check with our

This itinerary often operates more than one coach per departure and on certain departures will operate in reverse direction.

For passengers from other cities joining this tour in Mumbai, the cost of to & fro domestic travel is not included in the tour

The rights to vary, amend, alter or withdraw any particular itinerary, departure or excursion rests entirely with the company.
Due to demand of a particular airline, the in/out points may change. Services however, will remain unchanged.
All meals mentioned in the itinerary are preset and a-la carte is not possible.
Any damage caused to the hotel rooms/cruise cabins during your stay shall be borne by the concerned passenger.
The company shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss of baggage, loss, injury, accident, death,
breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out tour arrangements due to weather conditions, strikes, war,
quarantine or any other cause whatsoever and all such loss or expense must be borne by the passengers.
The Management reserves the right to claim any additional expenses incurred due to delay or changes in schedules of train,

There are no refunds for any services i.e. meals, sightseeing etc. not utilised on the tour.
For convenience of our passengers / feasibility of operations, we will sometimes amend the itinerary. However, the services
remain unchanged.
In the hotels, maximum 3 adults will be allowed per room.
The tour Manager and driver will do their best to take you as close to the monuments as possible as because in some cities
coaches are restricted.

On certain days when certain attractions, monuments, museums etc are closed, the tour manager reserves the right to
amend the itinerary /cancel the visit.
The management reserves the right to withdraw this offer any time without assigning any reason whatsoever.
Any new offer launched with the same itinerary, inclusions or destinations will supersede this offer and this offer may not be
valid any more.
Subject to availability of flights and connections, passengers from other cities can take this tour directly from their cities by
paying an additional amount as applicable per person plus Airport and Government taxes. Please check with our Sales
Officer for details.
The tour price mentioned is applicable provided there are 02 paying adults travelling on the tour departure on SIC basis.
Services of a Cox & Kings Tour Manager will not be provided if the group size on a particular departure is below 20 full
paying pax.
