for educators Isaiah 40:29-31

NIV - He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow
9red and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew
their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will
walk and not be faint.

RSV - He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even
youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for
the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run

Note to the educator

Weary is a perfect adjec:ve for school life. Students get weary. Teachers get weary. Support
staff, subs:tutes, administrators and parents get weary. When you feel weary, rest in this
promise. When you wait upon the Lord, He always over delivers. What a beau:ful picture of

flying high like an eagle over the burdens of our days.

Dear Lord,
Thank You for this incredible promise that anchors us in You when we are weary. Help us to
not succumb to weariness, but to look to You for renewal. We love you, Lord. Amen.
