EDUCATIONAL NOTICE

ADMISSION INTO GNM COURSE IN THE GNM TRAINING SCHOOLS UNDER

GOVT. OF ASSAM FOR THE SESSION - 2018-19 I

Applications are invited from the female candidates for GNM Entrance

Examination (GNMEE) for selection of candidates for admission into GNM Course in

the GNM Training Schools under the Govt. of Assam for the session 2018-19. Online

Application Form shall be available at Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health

Sciences website: www.ssuhs.in from 10th December, 2018 to 31sl December, 2018. The

Online Application Form must be filled up after carefully going through the instructions

given along with the form in the website. The Application Form will no longer be

available after 31sl December, 2018 (5.00 PM). So, interested candidates are advised to

submit the online form within this stipulated period only.

The Entrance Test is going to be held on 3"I February, 2019 (Sunday) at

Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta and Tezpur.

A non-refundable Examination Pee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand) only is

required to be paid Online. The payment option will be available on Online Application

Page at www.ssuhs.in.

Details of the Entrance Examination including eligibility criteria and requirements

shall be available at the University website: www.ssuhs.in from 10th December, 2018.

Admit cards will be available online at www.ssuhs.in from 20th January, 2019

which can be downloaded after log in.


l. The Entrance Examination shall be held on 3rd February, 2019 (Sunday) at Guwahati,

Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta and Tezpur for Selection of Candidates for Admission

into GNM Course in the GNM Training Schools under the Govt. of Assam which will be

conducted by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences.

2. The Examination shall be for 100 marks. (100 Questions x l Mark each)

3. There will be 25 questions from each of the subjects of (a) English, (b) General Science,

(c) General Mathematics, (d) Social Studies with 1 (one) mark for each question. There

shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. Unanswered questions shall be awarded

zero marks.

4. The questions will be in both English & Assamese Language. However, the candidates

will be required to fill in the OMR Sheet ofthe Entrance Examination in English only.

5. There will be 1 (one) paper consisting of (a) English, (b) General Science, (c) General

Mathematics, (d) Social Studies. The questions of these subjects shall be of 10th standard.

6. Time of Examination: 10 AM to l PM. (3rd February, 2019).

Eligibility criteria for admission into GNM Course in the GNM Training Schools under

the Govt. of Assam:

l. The applicant must be female candidate.

2. Candidates must be citizen of India.


3. Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam and must furnish a certificate to

this effect.

4. The provision of Permanent Resident Certificate shall not be applicable to the

wife/daughters of the employees of the Govt. of Assam.

5. The minimum educational qualification for selection of candidates is (a) HSSLC

(10+2) or its equivalent examination passed preferably Science (PCB) and English

with aggregate of 40% marks. (b) 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology,

Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy,

Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English

Elective or Health Care Science - Vocational Stream only, passing out from

recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/I-ISCE or other Equivalent Board

With 40% marks. (c) 10+2 Vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other Equivalent

Board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.

6. Age: Candidate must be within the age limit of 17 to 24 years as on 1St January of the

Year of Admission.

7. The upper age limit for SC/ST candidates will be as per Govt. procedure.

Important note:

1. The Entrance Examination shall consist of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and
shall be set from the course of Class X covering English, General Science, General

Mathematics and Social Studies.

2. The merit list shall be prepared based on the total marks obtained by each candidate

in the Entrance Examination. If two or more candidates secure the same mark in the

Entrance Examination, the inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined in

order of preference as follows:

a) Candidates securing more marks in English in the Entrance Examination.

b) Candidates securing more marks in General Science in the Entrance

Examination.

c) Candidates securing more marks in General Mathematics in the Entrance

Examination. `

d) Candidates securing more marks in Social Studies in the Entrance

Examination.

3. Any information given by the applicant if found to be false, incomplete or any

ineligibility criteria detected at any stage later on shall mark her disqualified from the

Entrance Examination with all its associated consequences

4. As the form is to be submitted online, the candidates are not required to send any

document to the University, all necessary verification/scrutiny of the related

documents of the candidates regarding eligibility; reservation etc. will be done at the
time of counseling.

5. The candidates are to keep note of their Application Form Number and Password.

6. They are to download the Admit Card from the University website: www.ssuhs.in

from 20th January, 2019 onwards by entering their Application Form Number and

Password.

7. In case the Application Form Number and Password are misplaced/lost/forgotten

by the applicant, she will not be able to download her Admit Card. Hence, the

applicants are directed to be very serious in keeping note of the Application

Form No. and Password. However, the applicants may call the Help Line No.
