includes what they are doing with the technolo-
such as adding 1 to any number and multiplying any-
thing by 0 and why those are important things to
know. The teacher will then start with the Additive
Identity and give the students a definition about the
property, she will then continue on to discuss the mul-
tiplicative property of zero next since it is the next
closest related to the additive identity. After that she
will discuss its definition and describe how that prop-
erty works. The next property to go over would be the
multiplicative identity property and discuss what that
property consists of. Finally the multiplicative inverse
property would be last just because students tend to
have the most trouble and overthink with anything that
involves fractions. After discussing all the properties
and their precise meanings in the math world the
teacher can then ask the students to try to identify ex-
ample that she has on the board and which property
they fall under. After the completion of the class dis-
cussion the students are ready to make their flash-
cards. The teacher will provide a hand out with the
website, list of all the properties, their definitions, and
some examples of each to include on their flashcards.
The students will complete an online set of flashcards
with each property, the definition, and at least one ex-
ample of the property, using actual numbers. The
property name should be clearly displayed on the
front, with the definition and example of the property
displayed on the back of the flashcard. The student
will also rate how confident they are in understanding
and memorizing the definition and their examples.
Each student will create a set of flashcards that in-
clude:
1. Multiplicative Inverse Property
2. Multiplicative Identity Property
3. Additive Identity
4. Multiplicative Property of Zero

The flashcards will be made online so students can

access them whenever and wherever they are as long
as they have access to the internet.
