Profiles

1) The five key features of a profile the author reflected upon are an interesting subject, any

necessary background, an interesting angle, a firsthand account, and engaging details. My

paper does have all of these features. My interesting subjects are my place of work

(gymnastics coach) and swim practice. These are interesting because they’re two drastically

different sports. For background information, we all had to analyze and observe the spaces

and take notes. Regarding an interesting angle, I chose to explain how the spaces influence

the athletes. Also, how no matter the differences, they all have the same purpose. For my

first-hand account I interviewed a swim coach. And my engaging details are the first-hand

accounts that I list throughout the paper.

2) When organizing your profile you have two general options. The first one being as a

narrative. You must introduce what you have found and your stance on it, describe specific

incidents that further prove your point, and conclude it by referring back to your thesis and

tying it together. The other option is as a description and it is similar to the narrative option.

You must again introduce your subjects and your stances, then you introduce details that an

be dialogue, examples etc., and then conclude your thoughts.
