Roadhouse Pilot Test Results

Prevost XL II

Testing of the H2Go unit was conducted on the Prevost XL II and was
done in a four part series. The configuration used during the pilot testing
was an A, B, A, B or an A, B, B, A configuration to minimize the effects of
weather and terrain. Each test was done in a continuous loop mode with
fuel top-offs after each phase. Individual test assumptions will be listed
with the associated test results.

For the purposes of this pilot an experienced coach driver was retained to
ensure consistency in managing the daily bus operations under normal
driving conditions.

TEST ONE:

The first test was conducted from Conroe,

Texas to Buffalo, Texas north of Houston.
Conditions were:

 Ambient temp: 74 degrees

 20-25 mph winds (North bound)
o Reverse on the Southbound leg
 A Snap-On portable tester was used
for emission testing

- Blue graph lines are with hydrogen unit (H2GO) running

- Red are stock (no H2GO unit applied)
- All emission readings were taken at idle
o Since C02 readings will rise and fall with fuel usage, tuning was
done with fuel mileage calculations for moving conditions

Note: The first test was conducted for purposes of tuning the moving
configuration.

Test Two:

After seeing the results of the first test, it was decided to attempt a
different more aggressive tuning in an effort to improve the benefit of
the installation even further. As evidenced below the different tuning
style did not positively impact the results of the test.

78 10.893 7.1605618 3.04 0 684 H2Go

Due to the lack of improved results from this alternative tuning &
configuration over the stock bus configuration Test Two was disregarded.
This test was specifically designed to use alternative device settings on the
H2GO unit in order to determine if a more optimum configuration could
be found. As evidenced in the matrix above, this test clearly determined
this alternative configuration did not achieve the desired results.

Conditions were:

 Route from Huntsville to Madisonville loop was used to quickly test

the alternative configuration
 Minimal traffic conditions were observed
 Ambient temp: 75 degrees
o Higher fuel mileage on both runs were attributed to very light
wind conditions in both directions of the route run

Test Three:

Test Three was run using similar routes as Tests One & Two using the
original calculated tune-up.

Conditions were:

 Ambient temp: 75 degree day

 20-25 mph winds
 Test was conducted with the unit configuration from Test One
o Runs 1-3 were driven on the same loop as Test Two
o Run 4 was completed one way to return to the parking area
 The higher than expected mileage reading on Run 4 was
attributed to the assistance of a tailwind.
 After all runs were conducted both stock & H2GO assisted runs were
averaged (see matrix below).
 An EPA compliant fixed emission tester was used for Test 2 thru 4.

Observations:

 The average miles per gallon (MPG) on the stock bus was: 7.385
 The average miles per gallon (MPG) H2GO assisted was: 9.701

Taking the best readings from both the stock and H2GO assisted runs we
observed the following:
Miles Per Gallon (MPG)
Engine Worst Best
Stock 6.874 7.896
H2GO 8.587 10.815

 The idle emissions readings during Test Three indicated a need to

retune idle emission values (completed on March 5th).
 A final idle emissions test to determine best values for idle emissions
was conducted as Test Four. Those results dictated changing the idle
tune 12% to reduce CO2 and NOX readings further.
