Professional Development Plan

(What do YOU need to work on in order to grow professionally?)

1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)

- Maintain appropriate pace, and motivation and challenge

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
- Explain the lesson in the way that students will understand the lesson fast, easily and clearly.
- Use weekly reward chart to motivate the students and who will get more stars will be the star of the week in the
math.
- Do worksheets with challenging questions by use higher part of blooms.

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
- If the students understand the lesson easily and clearly also, if they were engage in the class.
- Spend time to think about some questions then, solve it.

Grade Level: Subject: Learning Outcome (ADEC code and words):

- by the end of the lesson students will be able to do
3 Mathematics a model of division into equal parts.

- 3.5.2.1 – model division as equal sharing.

Resources (what materials/equipment will you and the Preparation (what do you need to make or check before class?)
students use? Be specific)
- Prepare the activities and flash cards.
Introduction:
- Open the PPP through the smart board.
- White board
- Marker - Remind the students about the class instructions.
- Flash cards
Key vocabulary
- Smart board (PPP)
- Instruction sticks
- Division
- Stars
- Reward chart - Division sentence
Activity 1:
- Worksheets
- Pencils
- Envelops
- Pictures
Activity 2:
- Worksheets
- Pencils
Closing:
- Papers
- Pencils
- Smart board

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

- Teacher will tell story of numbers that related to the last lesson and beginning for the new lesson for
example, they will use in this story the last concept and add the new concept on it.

- Introduce the new vocabulary by show them example and explain what each part mean (I do, you
watch)
____________________________

- Present example for students and through this example teacher will introduce what divide mean then,
how they should divide. (I do, you watch)

- Let the students to help by ask the students questions about the example to be easier for them to
understand it. (I do, you help)

- Put example for students to solve it step by step by ask several questions while they answering on the
board to explain what they are doing and help them. (you do I help)

Remembering level:

Which operation equation will be use?

15 min

Is the division operation opposite of multiplication operation? Why?

Understanding level:

What is the operation mean?

Is the number should be divide into equal parts?

Applying level:

What is the output of the division sentences?

What is the division sentence? What is the output?

Analyzing level:

What is the relation between division and multiplication.

Creating level:

Design a real-life example using the division operation 12 ÷ 6?

Independent Experience (small group activity 1) create multiplication poster (you do; I help)

- Model the activity for students by present it in the smart board and explain what they will do in the
activity such as,

- Firstly, each group will have some pictures in the envelop and worksheet.

- Secondly, in this worksheet they will have two sections.

- In the first section they will have some questions to answer it related to the second section so, in the
second section they will model the questions using the pictures then, they will write the output of the
questions.

- For example, if the question is (8 ÷ 2 =). They should divide 8 pictures into two groups then, they will
write the answer by count in each group how many pictures they put and to make sure they should
check are the groups equal.

- Teacher will distribute the activity for each group then, walk around the groups to help and engage
them.

Question:

What is the output of the questions?

Independent Experience (individual activity 2) worksheet (you do , I watch)

- Teacher will model the three types of worksheets in the smart board.
12 min
- Teacher will solve one question in each worksheet.

- Teacher will distribute the worksheets following the student’s level’s.

- There are three types of worksheets follow the differentiation

- High level: They will have three parts of questions to solve it. The first question they will write the
output of the operation and write the miss number of the operation. The second part they will have
problem solving question and in third part they will design a real-life example using the division
operation that they have it then, solve the question.

- Middle level: they will have two parts of questions. In the first question they will fill the schedule so,
they will have two columns in the first column they will have the questions and in the second column
they should draw to get the answer. Especially, the last question they will have picture and through
this picture they will write the question and the output. The second part they will have problem solving
question.

- Low level: they will have two parts of questions. In the first question they will have some division
operation to solve it. The second part they will solve some question then, match it with the correct
answer.
Question:

High level:

Write the correct answers?

Write the division operation? What is the output?

Design a real-life example?

Middle level:

Write the correct answers by drawing?

Write the division operation? What is the output?

Low level:

Write the output by drawing?

Match the questions with their outputs?

At the end of the lesson teacher will give each student blank paper then, present some question to solve it and
let the students to raise their paper to show the teacher also, let the students to write any division operation
5 min

and solve it.

Closing

Time:

Assessment

- Observe the students while they doing the activities.

- Correct the student’s worksheets to know if they answer all the questions correctly.

- Ask students some questions about the lesson to check their understanding.

- Let the students to answer some questions in the board.

- Use checklist to assess the students understanding
