to the future Gate Station. Previous discussions with the NYC DOT have indicated that they will make
National Grid work at night, however, negotiations hope to revise this ruling.

SECTION 4.0 OBSTRUCTIONS


4.0 Unit prices shown below are for increased work scope connected with unknown
obstructions not shown on prints or that cannot be field identified as a potential
interference.

These unit prices cover excavating, supporting and providing clearance and
installation at the obstruction location. This unit also covers vertical excavations to
maintain a minimum of 12" clearance from obstruction.

4.1 Separate obstruction up to 18 inch diameter or width / each $40,638.00


4.2 Separate obstruction over 18 inch up to and including 36 inch diameter or width. / each $81,276.00

Note: Prices shown above are for additions and deletions. If a relocation of the pipe route
eliminates going under a "BID" or a designed profile obstruction, National Grid shall receive

services, pipes, structures, etc. that are shown on the drawings or can be deduced.

6.1.0 Size of additional test holes is approx. 3 ft by 4 ft by 5 ft deep. The unit price includes

10 ft tight sheeted tie-in pit, to a maximum of 8 ft in depth. This unit price covers pits FOR THIS BID
not included on drawings, specifications or bid documents, and must include
backfilling and pulling sheeting. This unit price covers dewatering by means of mud
suckers, maximum of 3 pumps.

7.1 Installation of Tie-In Pits /pit $40,658.00

7.2 WELD PITS - An all inclusive unit price to excavate, sheet and steel plate an 8ft x 8
ft tight sheeted weld pit, to a maximum of 8 ft in depth, within the paved area of a NYC
roaway. This unit price covers pits not included on drawings, specifications or bid
documents, and must include backfilling and pulling sheeting. This unit price covers
dewatering by means of mud suckers, maximum of 3 pumps.
