Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children Summer 2017 and 2018
Boy’s Counselor
 Worked with 20 new blind or visually impaired children each week for up to 8 weeks in the summer. Was
responsible for taking the children on a variety of different activities.
Head Boy’s Counselor
 Served as the head boy’s counselor my 2nd summer with the home. Served as a mentor for the new
counselors and helped the training process.
Professional Semester Placement Fall 2018 Semester
 Currently placed in a 1st grade classroom at Blue Mountain East Elementary School.
 1 week professional placement at Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia, PA.

CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT


Alpha Sigma Tau National Sorority Spring 2017-Present
 Served on the Executive Committee as the Vice President of Organization Development. This required
constant contact with the national office and to hold disciplinary hearings with local members of the
sorority.
Braille Bears Fall 2016-Present
 Served as a member of the vision program’s club and helped prepare different shirt orders, community
service events, etc.
 Served as the club’s president for the 2017-2018 academic year.
K.U.A.B.L.E Fall 2018-Present
 Served as a member of the American Sign Language club on campus.
 Participated in different bake sales and events to raise awareness for the deaf community.
National Student Ambassador for CEC’s Division on Visual Impairments and Deaf-blindness January 2018-Present
 Promote the Division on their social media
 Attend the national 2019 conference in Indianapolis
