to/beside/between
Lesson Objectives: These must be SMART objectives – specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time bound
By the end of the lesson, students will be (better) able to:
Students will be able to describe the positions such as ‘behind, in, On, Next to…’
Teacher Input:
T: will ask the students to sit on the carpet (Sit on your bugs).
T: will explain to the children the classroom rules and explain that if they behave and answer well during the lesson, I will give them a colour
stick and then at the end of the lesson we will count each student stick and whoever has the most will get a small gift

T: will stop the Video and ask some questions for example:
T: will show the students flash cards with positional word with pictures and will ask ‘where’s the mouse?’
S: will answer.
Focus Activities:
Activity 1: Teacher in this centre, will give group of 4 students a worksheet and ask them to draw a correct positon. (Draw an alien in
the spaceship)
Activity 2: Teacher will give a student a flash cards, box and a teddy bear. Student should read the flash card and try to do the covering
different prepositions using the box and teddy bear.
Centres:
1. Water Tray – water beads
2. Phonics – match caption to the picture
3. Writing – mark making with highlighters
4. Creative – Junk art rocket painting
