Service Cabinet
(Standard)
• For rooftop sites, vendors shall seek to locate the service cabinet that minimise the total cost
of hybrid cables. Or keep in shelter site by using indoor type.
Minimum total length of hybrid, plus avoiding the necessity of long hybrids that require heavy
gauged able or parallel feeders.
It is essential trunked hybrid cable lengths are kept at a minimum, as the gauge size or
diameter of the cable is based on the a voltage drop or Partial Load Voltage Disconnect
(PLVD) calculated to accommodate any VENDOR RRU configuration (max. 4 RRUs), and
therefore with longer lengths DC cable gauge will increase in diameter accordingly (see table
1), sites costs will subsequently increase, and designs to accommodate PLVD may grow
complex
• The standard design drawing for RC foundation shall use K225 concrete quality, 12mm mesh
steel reinforcing, and designed for two (2) cabinet capacity, even if only one (1) cabinet is
initially planned, and have sufficient space for a worker to stand in front of the cabinet and

200mm minimum spacing between Outdoor Service Cabinets Master and Slave
• The Service Cabinet shall be fixed to the foundation with 4 (Four) galvanised Dynabolts
(The thickness of the galvanising should be > 80microns) installed in each corner of the
Service Cabinet and positioned so that the right opening
• Excess Trunked Hybrid/CPRI cable sheathing and DC conductors shall be cut to size (except
the fibre), with the excess Fibre cable bundles to be coiled and hung appropriately to the
sidewall and/or cable reels within the service cabinet
The DC portion of the Trunked Hybrid cable maybe cut to length, by utilising the rip cord
and stripping back the protective cable sheath / insulation
• The entire Trunked Hybrid cable/CPRI+DC Cable (including insulation) shall enter into the
Service Cabinet through any of the entry port (back left or right sides) or underneath
depending on site condition, and the earth cable to be looped back (passing through an
available cable entry gland) into the Service Cabinet void and connected to the grounding bar
within the Service Cabinet front-end
• All cable glands shall be fastened and sealed appropriately so that no ingress from dust,
water, insects and animals
• The cable gland should be firmly tightened to the cabinet and should hold the cable firmly
(the acceptance test will check for loose cable
• Cables shall be installed in the gland closest in size to the cable to avoid unnecessary use
of tape
• The sealing should be done from inside the service cabinet on the PG Glands (located both
sides of the bottom battery rack)
• There shall be a maximum of one cable per cable inlet unless otherwise approved by Indosat
• In cases where multiple cables per gland is approved, all cables should be firmly fitted in the
cable gland and tightened properly such that no free movement of cables. Signal, power,
ground cables shall not be mixed for this case
/ DC+CPRI cable
• For the security or anti theft option of the cabinet , vendor shall use of the following Indosat
approved padlock/cover and belt design
• Anti-Theft Device (ATD) are equipped with padlock for the door handle and the connecting
cable from one of anchor bolt to outdoor cabinet to integrated with grounding and earth
systems.
• If the existing sites still 7.7kVA and still available to support implementation program, keep as
it is the power capacity
• If the existing sites still 7.7kVA and not available to support implementation program, proposed
upgrade capacity base on approval Indosat solution fist
• The AC cable linear length (horizontal distance) also shall not be longer than 30m. If the
horizontal distance is more than 30m, then either ACPDB should be located within 30m
distance of Service cabinet or a Class 1+2 (Type B+ C) need to be installed in service
cabinet, instead of Class 2 (Type C/Over Voltage Type) only. Any other solutions must be
proposed and justified to, and approved by Indosat
• The acceptable Voltage Drop from Kwh meter to the ACPDB is less than 5%
• For outdoor modernised site, the cable size of 4x core of 10mm² or 4x 16mm2 shall be
