Subject: Recruitment for the posts of Assistant Professors on Contract Basis.

Applications are invited in the prescribed proforma to fill up the following

posts of Assistant Professors on contract basis initially for a period of one year on
the fixed remuneration.

] Assistant Professor 02 Post Educational & Other Qualification

(O.M. & Radiology) 01 – UR
01 - OBC 1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Oral Medicine & Radiology.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
02. Assistant Professor 02 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(Oral Surgery) 01 – UR
01 - OBC 1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Oral Surgery.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
03. Assistant Professor 02 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(Prosthodontics) 01 – UR
01 - OBC 1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Prosthodontics.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
04. Assistant Professor 02 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(Conservative 01 – UR
Dentistry) 01 - OBC 1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Conservative Dentistry.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
05. Assistant Professor 01 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(Orthodontics) 01-UR
1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Orthodontics.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
06. Assistant Professor 02 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(P.H. Dentistry) 01 – UR
01 - OBC 1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Public Health Dentistry.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
07. Assistant Professor 01 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(Pedodontics ) 01-UR
1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Pedodontics.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
08. Assistant Professor 01 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(Oral Pathology) 01-UR
1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Oral Pathology.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.
 09. Assistant Professor 01 Post Educational & Other Qualification
(Periodontics) 01-UR
1. A Qualification included in Part I or
Part II of the Schedule of Dentistry Act
1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
2. A Post Graduate Degree from a recognized
University/ Institute or Equivalent in the
subject of Periodontics.
3. Four (4) years teaching Experience after
Post Graduation in the concerned
speciality from a recognized Dental
College.
4. Should be registered with State Dental
Council.

Remuneration: Minimum of the Basic Pay + 20% NPA + DA.

Age Limit: 45 years as on last date of submission of application. Relaxation to

SC/ST/OBC will be allowed as per rules.
Fee Payable: Rs.1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PH
candidates. The fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft issued in favour of
Director-Principal, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, payable at New Delhi.

Mode of Selection : The selection will be made through written screening test which
would be qualifying only, followed by interview (Only those candidates who qualify the
written screening test, will be called for interview) (QUALIFYING MARKS FOR
WRITTEN TEST FOR GENERAL CANDIATES – 50% AND OBC CANDIATES –
45%). However, the maximum number of qualified candidates in written screening test
which shall be called for interview shall not be more than 3 times the number of vacancies.
The decision of the selection committee would be final in this regard.

www.maids.ac.in or be collected from the Administration Branch, Room No.116, 1st Floor
of MAIDS office. Complete application in the prescribed format along-with all documents
and fee must reach on or before 15-01-2019 upto 4.00 P.M. in an envelope of size. 12”X9”
(A-4 size) super-scribed in bold letters “Application for recruitment of
_________________”(name of post to be filled) directly or by post, addressed to “The
Director-Principal, Room No.116, 1st Floor of Maulana Azad Institute of Dental
Sciences, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi-02”.

Documents to be attached:

Self attested copies of certificated in support of age, caste, qualification, experience, state
council registration and two passport size photographs, Demand Draft etc.
Note: OBC CERTIFICATE SHOULD BE ISSUED FROM GOVT. OF NCT
OF DELHI AS “OBC (DELHI)”. OBC certificate issued from other than GNCT
of Delhi will be considered under General category. General Candidates are not
eligible to apply against Reserve category post. Candidates shall be appointed as &
when the vacancy actual arises.

NOTE: No TA/DA will be paid for written test and interview.
