7th of October 2018, was the second week of our teaching practice. In this week, I taught
them twice a week. Story “brown bear, brown bear” and number 7. I start the week by
teaching them number 7, but I focused on teaching them how to use number seven to count
and to make an equation. In fact, they don’t learn math and science in English but i tried
teaching them in English and really it went well. They understood the lesson and while doing
the activities I was observing them using a checklist and I was asking them so I can assess
their knowledge. What I notice that they did understood what I taught them.
For the next day. 8th of October, I taught them at 9:00 till 9:45, the story was “Brown Bear,
Brown Bear what do you see?” I read the story for them and after reading the story, I dived
them according to their groups to translate to the activities. In the government classroom,
there are two table one for the English and the other for the Arabic. So, I prepared for them
one activities with my MST supporting. The activity was about having different animals with
different colors and they will have a cube and they should through it, when the cube stop for
example, on blue horse they have to say the animal with the color. This will help them to
recognize animals and colors. And to assess them I used formative assessment such as,
During the last two days in this week, I did what every teacher do, attending assembly,
monitoring students during playground time and I was assessing students in the end of the
day by letting them draw what they can see in the zoo according to the theme and it is
“humans and animals”. Also, during bus duty, I was setting with students who go with cars.
So, when my MST takes the students who are with buses I stay for a while then I take who go
with cars to the room. In the end of the day after all students left. I set with my MST in the
