When the Americans captured Malolos, Casa Real became the seat
of their Military Government.
turned into a hospital in 1923
became an annex of the Bulacan High School in 1941
One of the permanent exhibits in Casa Real Shrine are relics of
the Brave Women of Malolos of whom Rizal wrote a poem to
honor their courage of setting up a school against objections from
the towns friars.

National Shrine stands in
Sitio Cupang, Barangay San
Nicolas, Bulacan. It is
located on the same
property where Marcelo H.
del Pilar was born and raised
before he left for Spain in
1888.

history and ethnography museum) of

Mariquita's family owned the biggest house
in Baliuag. Her son, Dr. Joaquin Gonzalez
practiced medicine. 
 The Gonzalez old mansion served as
Lumang Munisipyo (the Old Municipio or
Town Hall Building, as seat of the local
government) for 65 years.
