Question: What can I do if the device is in MONITOR?

Answer:

State 1: LED „Störung/Blocked is off

This indicates that the devices not in blocked mode. Press key "CW" on the operation panel and enter
code word "866315". The display shows ∂∂∂∂∂∂. Confirm by pressing key "E" twice.

Now press the key ”DA” and enter the address ”9802”. This has to be confirmed by pressing key ”E” once.
The display shows the following text:

9802 MONITOR START?

Quit the operation mode with ”J/Y”. The display shows:

MONITOR- START INTEGR. OPERAT. (MONITOR- EINSTIEG BEDIENUNG)

In this mode, the protection functions are blocked. The life contact is energized; i.e. the device failure is
indicated in this mode. Continue with section "instruction".

State 2: LED „Störung/Blocked is on

This means that the device is in blocking mode. The display shows the following text:

MONITOR START- FAILURE PROCESSING (MONITOREINSTIEG - FEHLERBEHANDLUNG)

or
MONITOR START- WRONG ORDER CODE (MONITOREINSTIEG - MLFB-FALSCH)

This is also indicated by the red LED ”Störung/Blocked”.

Instruction:

Press key "CW" on the operation panel for several seconds. Enter code word "333333". The display
shows ∂∂∂∂∂∂. Confirm by pressing key "E" twice.

Scroll up in the functions selection using the bold arrow key until reaching the function

"FUNCTION CHOICE START" ("FUNKTIONSAUSWAHL ANLAUF")

or

"FUNCTION CHOICE ORIGINAL START" ("FUNKTIONSAUSWAHL URANLAUF")

As a minimum a "START" is necessary. The start function keeps all settings and annunciations of the
relay. Choose "FUNCTION CHOICE START" ("FUNKTIONSAUSWAHL ANLAUF") and press 1 "E" once.
The device returns to the operating mode after a short time.

If initially the red LED "Störung/Blocked" had been on ON, it could be necessary to initiate an
"ORIGINAL START" (“URANLAUF”). Confirm this by pressing "E" once and enter the codeword
"333333". Afterwards press "E" twice. The display shows "ORIGINAL START BEGIN" ("MONITOR
START"). After a few seconds the device returns to the operating mode. In consequence of this
procedure all settings and annunciations were lost. Therefore the parameterization must be transferred
again from the PC to the relay or changed to the feeder-specific data by using the front panel!!!
