The aim of this essay is to define and then discuss Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal
Development and Howard Gardner’s Entry Points as well as the Multiple
intelligences and discover how these two philosophies can be used in conjunction
with one another in the teaching environment. Then I will explore whether or not
music can evoke real human emotions, what impact human emotions have in music
learning and if/how these emotions enhance Vygotsky and Gardner’s philosophies of
teaching and learning.
