CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
In making decisions, influences gives a good impact to those decision makers in which the
knowledge given by the influencer can be use as a guide to make decisions effectively. Cialdini (2007)
emphasize that effectiveness lies in the way they structure their request, the way the arm themselves
with one or another of the weapons of influences that exist in the social environment. Enable to do
this, a person should choose the one correct words to be use that engages a strong principle. In
decision making the person who became dependent on the psychosocial influences could lead to
regret because of the decision makers will rely on the opinion of those influencers and they already
cannot decide on their own. The person who are dependent makes decision without knowing the
possible effect on them which leads to regret because of of deciding without thinking properly.
Thinking is very important to an individual when it comes on decision making. The way a they think
affects the way they plan their daily lives, this means that a person should be careful about one’s
choices, not taking undue risks and not saying or doing things that might later be regretted
(Florendo, 2012).
It is typical mindset of a person to listen what others would say. Sometimes it could be good
consequences, and sometimes it could lead to regret and downfall. But what matter is, at least he or
she will be able to learn the lessons in life to become o good and effective decision maker in facing a
certain situation.
