San Pedro College and Innovation, Research and Publication Center take great
pleasure in inviting researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners, leaders and
innovators from multidisciplinary interests who share a common endeavor in research to attend
the 1st Madayaw International Multidisciplinary Research Conference with the theme
“Confluence of Research and Innovation in the Forefront of Achieving Sustainable
Development Goals” on December 1, 2018 (Saturday) at San Pedro College Main
Campus, Davao City.

In behalf of San Pedro College and our organizing committee, we would like to extend
our warm invitation to students, researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners, leaders
and innovators from multidisciplinary interests who share a common endeavor in research to
attend the 1st Madayaw International Multidisciplinary Research Conference, scheduled 1
December 2018 at San Pedro College Main Campus, Davao City with the theme “Confluence of
Research and Innovation in the Forefront of Achieving Sustainable Development Goals.”
Madayaw also happens to be the name of our Multidisciplinary Refereed Journal which
is a Dabawnon word that means anything good, beautiful, valuable, and pleasant - a familiar
feeling when one accomplishes a research work. The conference aims to enable researchers to
discuss, share, and expand boundaries of knowledge and research interest by providing among
various disciplines an avenue to share ideas, learn the current trends, and forge partnerships
and collaborative agreements between and among themselves.
There will be plenary sessions related to the theme, as well as parallel sessions in
current researches on social science, information technology and engineering, business and
management, health sciences, natural sciences, arts, language and literature, and education.

technological approaches.
Highly regarded resource persons are invited to share their expertise and knowledge on
the following topics mentioned below with their specific objectives.
PLENARY SESSIONS
b. Describe the skills in using evidence to identify and describe a problem, potential
solutions wait implementation as a consideration
c. Consolidate skills in preparing an evidence brief for program or policy decision-
making and organizing a policy dialogue
PARALLEL SESSIONS
4. Social Science
a. Identify current trends in social science research.
b. Discover new knowledge, interrelations, new facts, and verify olds ones
especially in studying human contact and behavior.
7. Health Sciences
a. Identify current trends in health science research in the fields of medical
laboratory science/medical technology, nursing, physical therapy, biology,
respiratory therapy, and pharmacy.
c. Explain how research will impact public health issues and problems such as
cancer, diabetes, bacterial antibiotic resistance, risk-taking behaviours, burden of
disease and access to health services.
8. Natural Sciences
a. Identify current trends in natural science research such as climate change, risk-
management, environmental protection, and plant and animal diseases as it
affects human life.
b. Provide an avenue for critical discussions and studies on linguistic and literary
issues.
10. Education
a. Describe how applied education researches helped improved quality of education
if not instruction in educational institutions.
b. Identify studies where research plays an important role in the development of
instructional aides, curriculum development, teacher training, and guidance.
c. Appreciate the rigors of education research.
CPD units are applied for the following professions: Nursing, Medical Technology,
Psychology, Psychometrics, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Medicine,
Guidance and Counseling, Education, Physical Therapy, and Accountancy.
The conference will receive research abstracts of the study until November 16, 2018
(Friday) from interested paper presenters. After a systematic double-blind peer review process
by our scientific review committee, letter of confirmation and acceptance will be sent
immediately.
Presenters are requested to bring their 15 minute powerpoint presentation at the day of
the conference.
Title (centered)
The information of the author should be centered, double-spaced from the title and
should consist of three lines (name of presenters, email and institutional affiliation)
The body of the abstract should be in one paragraph, single-spaced, not to exceed with
250 words and with 3 to 5 keywords
Texts should be set left but just in block paragraphs. All words should be spelled out, no
abbreviations and no footnotes.

Payment Details:
For paper presenters, in case your paper is multi-authored and more than one author will
attend the conference, each attending author needs to register and pay the registration fee for
the conference separately.
Kindly email the scanned copy of the deposit slip or money transfer/pera padala receipt
with the participant’s name, school/company/institution’s name (research paper title for
presenters) to spcmadayaw@gmail.com. Bring the original copy of the deposit slip or money
padala receipt on the day of the conference to claim the Conference Official Receipt.
