DAM 32202 Manufacturing Process Group Project

Sem 1 2018/2019

Form a group consists of maximum four (4) members each and designates a group leader which
is responsible to manage the group. The assignment title must be related to the application of
manufacturing technology in producing discrete parts/products. Each group is assigned to
select a product which has at least three (3) manufacturing processes involved in order to
produce it. Each group is required to discuss and focus on the manufacturing aspects of the
respective selected product/part. The report contents should also cover the current
technology/method practiced and each group is compulsory to include minimum three (3)
journals, papers or proceeding in the explanation of the latest technology issues for producing
the chose product.

The report should contain several aspects as follows:

 Front page.
 Objectives and scopes of the project.
 Clear and precise explanation on the manufacturing processes for the respective
product.
 Explanation should be together presented with the pictures/figures/simulation.
(Formulas/calculations involved are encouraged to be enclosed)
 Describe briefly the advantages and disadvantages of the selected manufacturing
processes.

 Write your source of references in the proper format and the references can be from
the books, journals, internet, magazines, industrial visit (if applicable) and etc.
 Prepare report in hardcopy and softcopy forms. (Minutes of meeting must be
included)
