Description :

Region Insurance group is basically an Insurance company, headquartered

U.K. in this project, I have involved in the development of data warehouse for
Region Insurance based on four kinds of data marts such as Life Insurance,
Health Insurance, Home Insurance and Motor Insurance. They needed a data
warehouse so that they could maintain historical data and central location for
integration, analyze Business in different locations, according Profit areas,
which could serve a purpose of DSS for decision makers. The company
requires different level of analysis regarding customers, type of Insurances,
Policies, Claims, Promotion, time etc.

Responsibilities:

• Requirement gathering and requirement Analysis

• Worked on Source Analyzer, Warehouse Designer, Transformation
Developer, Mapplet and Mapping Designer
• Transform and load the data to Targets using most of the transformations
like Router, Lookup, Expression, Update Strategy, Sorter, Source Qualifier
• Design and Develop SCD Type1 & SCD Type2 mappings
• Created workflows and sessions using Power Center Server
• Importing source and target tables from their respective database
• Involved in the development of informatica mappings and tuned them for
better performance
• Developed mapplets using mapplet designer for usage of reusable

Description :

Procter & Gamble (P&G) headquartered out of US is a largest manufacturer of

product ranges including personal care, household cleaning, laundry detergents
and prescription drugs.
With the increased volume of shipments originating from Gillette
transactions, existing distributed Central Data Warehouse platform did not have
capacity to meet required SLA. Project involved activities required to migrate P&G
shipments to the new Atomic Data Warehouse (ADW) platform thereby enhancing
Shipment Service line capability to provide combined P&G and Gillette Shipment
reporting from ADW. This is being achieved by executing design, build, validation
and deliveries of daily &monthly ETL for complete Shipment data from multiple
geographic regions into ADW, followed by Analytics.
I have been involved in monitoring the execution of various daily, weekly
and monthly processes in the UAT environment for three regions namely NALA,
EMEA and APAC regions and resolved for various issues that came up during the
process and resolved the issues.

Responsibilities:

• Though knowledge on data warehouse concepts like star schema,

snowflakes schemas

• Used informatica power center workflows manger to create sessions,

workflows to run tasks

• Involved in making changes to the informatica objects as per the

requirements of the project

• Involved in preparation of issue list for the issues that came up and the
resolution that we have given for the Issues

• Involved in doing analysis for Issues that came up during the project and
give resolutions for them and consequently eradicating the issues by
modifying the existing logic in the mappings, shell scripts or oracle
Procedures.
