The Peer-2-Peer (P2P} project, within the AHA program, has been positively impacting the AISD community with sexual health education since 2014. Staff have partnered with youth in schools, non-profits, and community organizations, |as part of the Public Health Department, There are currently 17 AISD students that are PHE's. These young people |t00k the initiative to apply for the PHE positions, interviewed, and had their parents attend a parent orientation In July lof 2018. AHA staff & the PHEs attended a 3-day, curiculum, trainers training, over Positive Prevention PLUS, during the summer, as well 2s become cettlied as QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeepers. AHA staff willbe assisting the PHEs, while they implement the curriculum in heir schools.
