Protesus is a private company that will be registered as a private limited firm and be equally divided
among the 3 chief members. We will dilute equity accordingly to make space for investors as they
come.

Market Need

According to the 2011 census, 26.5 million people are suffering from amputation.
Every year around 23,500 amputees are added to the amputee population(0.6% of total population).
Of them a major chunk of this scenario comes from the rural areas where there is lack of proper
treatment and people can’t afford costly prosthetics.

15 million out of 26.5 million amputees in India, hail from these rural areas only
Existing arms are inadequate in sense that they provide only opening and closing, they lack sensing
feedback as well.

With Protesus our major target will be to provide the amputees of rural India with a chance to live life
normally again - just like everybody else!

We will be dividing this big section into small parts and our initial goal will be to reach at least 5 %
of our rural belt.
Market Analysis

Protesus is a product that will be used as a healthcare unit with the existing infrastructure in almost

factor is production(currently).

Ideally, Protesus spans as wide as the whole world, for the benefit of the people as well as the
hospitals and NGO’s, selling modules to the NGO’s that can be installed in rural areas for camps to
increase the awareness and get our product straight into the village household.

Current state of development

We are in the prototype testing phase & have successfully built models that enable normal motor
functions like a normal hand. (Under controlled lab conditions).

Next, to handle multiple production of market ready bionic arms providing the comfort of a normal
human hand in daily day to day lives, we need to do extensive research and analysis (spanning a few
months) for which we need considerable funds.
Personnel Plan

Protesus's target market is the public and its service. We at Protesus, work on bringing the technology
directly to the commoner population.Protesus stands high and proud despite competition because the
array of features Protesus provide with a dirt cheap price tag, out numbering competition by a
significant large number.

In the beginning, our team will conduct surveys in relevant cities and towns for procuring more data
regarding amputees. We’ll try to sell our product to some private doctors who can testify the product
and promote the relevance.

Protesus will be a reality within the next year. We will get done with our MVP, prototype
development, beta version testing and then finally release our first market ready product. In the early
half of 2019, we will try to communicate with medical hospitals for bulk supplies where the amputees
can proceed for the treatment at a reasonable price.

By Fall 2019, we would have communicated with NGOs and doctors posted in rural areas for camps
to increase the awareness and getting them familiar with our product..

Owing to the aforementioned reasons, we will start receiving media attention after 6 to 7 months and
will be in (local) media spotlight by the end of the year. Behind the scenes we will continue with our
research work to improve our product and make it infallible.

Protesus will become synonymous with prosthetics, at least in West Bengal.
