ALPHABET MAZE 1

One nice simple maze to repeat the alphabet and

how many opportunities!

How to use:

- let kids correctly complete the maze a-z (file

includes 5 different variants and blank) + trace the
letters (develop motor skills);
- arrange a competition, who is faster (play in
pairs, mini-groups or individually, kids may go
through the same maze or different ones);
- find and identify certain letters, count and write
their numbers (a – 3, b -2, c – 3 etc.), circle or paint
in different colors;
- trace and color only vowels / consonants;
- play in teams or pairs. The aim is to find the
shortest way from one side of the maze to the other,
calling words on each letter and crossing them or painting with a certain colour (to
make it more challenging or difficult, limit the words from 2-3 topics: food, animals,
clothes etc). Teams can interfere each other, blocking the way;
- dictation. In this case, the mazes must be the same– children in pairs create the
ways for each other (e.g. in a bee maze alphabet it can be like this: e, d, i, l, v, f, j, r, q,
p, g, w, y). Children take turns to dictate the letters or sounds, the task of the leader is
to dictate correctly, and the task of the listener is to draw the right way, crossing out
or painting the letters. The entrance and exit can be anywhere.
