Q. Is janma nakshatra a favourable or unfavourable for muhurta?
Answer: A day rule by janma nakshatra is held to be unfavourable for an
election. But in regard to nuptials, sacrifices, first feeding, agriculture,
Upanayana, coronation, buying lands, learning the alphabet, janma
nakshatra is favourable without exception. But it is inauspicious for war,
sexual union, and shaving, taking medicinal treatment, travel and

plus 1 and then divide this sum by 4. If the remainder is 0 or 3, the fire
dwells in the earth and is good for havan and the performer gets
happiness. If remainder is 1 or 2, fire dwells in sky or in pataal and is
bad for havan as it indicates death in family or loss of wealth
respectively.
